Recommended Posts

Gotta pimp Inside Pulse

The Main Card:

# Tito Ortiz Vs. Ken Shamrock

# Kendall Grove Vs. Chris Price

# Ed Herman Vs. Jason MacDonald

# Seth Petruzelli Vs. Matt Hamill

The Undercard:

# Thales Leites Vs. Nate Marquardt

# Tony DeSouza Vs. Joe Riggs

# Rory Singer Vs. Josh Haynes

# Thiago Alves Vs. John Alessio

Ultimate Fight Night VII, a.k.a. Ortiz vs. Shamrock 3 - The Final Chapter, will air live on Spike TV from the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL on October 10th at 8pm.

So they bring back Seth, to job him to Hamill?

And looks like Josh Haynes did manage to cut some more weight. Don't know if Singer was a true MW though.

Cheers to star for taking the iniviative and starting up the thread.

Pretty damn good card for free TV. Tito/Ken is going to draw a bannanas amount of ratings but like most UFN's the best fights of the night will probably be the ones we don't see.

Well, Riggs is out, Singer & Haynes are both pretty "meh," and Leite/Marquardt & Alves/Alessio each have a really good shot of being boring as all hell. Of course, I'd still prefer either of the latter two over Hamill tard punching Seth, but I'll see them eventually.

'venger, please tell Slick to stop being gay.

I'll pass that along, but I'm sure the response to that will involve the phrase "that fucking bastard Lei Tong" in there somewhere...

I really hope this is the last of Ken Shamrock I'll be seeing in the UFC

He still needs to lose to Kurt Angle, Brock Lesnar, Branden Vera, Chek Kongo, and the British fighters.

Yeah, I'd pay good money to see Bisping knock his head off.

This should be a great night with Ortiz retiring Ken and Kendall, Ed and Matt in action.

I like Ed as a fighter, but on the show he seemed too hard like he was trying to be that season's Chris Leben. Granted, that's probably how he is, but after seeing it done better by Leben, Ed just got on my nerves.

I liked Seth and Rory from the shows, glad to see them get another shot

Meltzer is running a contest where the person who correctly predicts the quarter hour audience for the Ortiz-Shamrock match wins a year's subscription to the Observer.

I entered. What the hell?

I don't see how it makes sense to dump a guy that does nothing but win. Yeah, it is boring but a win is a win, these guys are supposed to be competing to be the best right?

It takes away a lot when you aren't the best, just the most exciting. I agree with keeping guys around who aren't so good but are exciting, and letting boring losers go quickly. But if a guy keeps winning letting him go just because he has a boring style is silly.

Marquardt got a pretty sweet deal for a relative UFC gnub, so it doesn't makes sense to spend 30K+ a match on a guy who refuses to fight to his potential.

Especially since they've already got one of those on a guaranteed contract. See Evans, Rashad.
