EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 My day off Tuesday could not have come at a better time. A full day of uninterrupted baseball!
Guest Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 I don't start job training until next week, so this is perfect. Twins in a fun 5 games.
Guest Smues Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 I hate you guys, I'll be at work all day and then have to take my car into the shop to miss the evening game. Anyway this series should be really good, and I can't decide who I want to win, so go either!
Guest Princess Leena Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 WHINING: Why can't they start games at 10pm EST instead of 1pm EST. And Go Twins. Sweep, so we can use Santana thrice if necessary vs. the Assholes.
Bored Posted October 2, 2006 Author Report Posted October 2, 2006 As I expected the start times will prevent me from watching the first three games so hopefully it's not a sweep, unless it's the A's of course. Oh and the Tigers can suck my dick. Sadly I think it will be Twins in five and I just hope it doesn't involve the A's losing it some gut wrenching fashion. I just think they will need to get incredibly lucky to beat Johan Santana in the Metrodome which makes Games 2 thru 4 must wins.
devo Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 Got the day off Tuesday as well. It's hard for me to pick a team to cheer for in this series, as I like both squads very much. I do think the Twins are going to take it, though.
Vern Gagne Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 Zito is the exactly the type of pitcher that gives the Twins problems.
Annabelle Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 don't be quick to write off the a's. they've got the deepest staff in the league. the mere fact that they can decide between haren & harden in game three proves this. joe blanton is no slouch either. teams like the mets have trachsel & the yanks have cory lidle. seriously, people.
naiwf Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 Minny in 4 because they have homefield and the invincible SANTANA~!
Bored Posted October 3, 2006 Author Report Posted October 3, 2006 So from what I gathered from what Ken Macha said today: A) Rich Harden may or may not start Game 3 B) Rich Harden may or may not start Game 4 C) They're waiting to see if his elbow explodes tommorrow in a bullpen session. I got my ALCS tickets today, Game 1 against Detroit or Game 3 against New York. Again I'm not holding my breath.
Guest NYankees Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 The A's have lost all 4 playoff series they have made in the 2000's inthe full 5 game series. Is this going to be the fifth year?
Bruiser Chong Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 These are the two teams in the postseason I'd like to see win it all, so naturally, they're playing each other in the first round. I don't really mind seeing either team win, but they'd better move onto the World Series.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 The A's have lost all 4 playoff series they have made in the 2000's inthe full 5 game series. Is this going to be the fifth year? I think it's worth noting that only six players from the 2003 A's are still with the club. This team has changed a great deal the last three years.
The Man in Blak Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 I'll pick the Twins in four, but it could be a complete walk for Minnesota if Harden doesn't start Game 3.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 Good news! Joe Morgan will broadcast the game.
Slayer Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 As long as Berman is nowhere to be found, I'm allright with it
Brett Favre Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 Big Hurt on Santana. Thomas goes deep.
Guest Princess Leena Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 For anyone at work or whatever, you can watch the game using TVUPlayer. Stream is quite good. Twins.
Guest Princess Leena Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 This game is flying along. Still 0-2. Please get a hit, Twins.
Guest Paul Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 Ha...Mauer is Poop. Zito...I dunno. The Yankees usually own his curve ball.
Guest Paul Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 Take some pitches, for christ's sake.
