TheShooter Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 Highest payed player in the history of baseball batting 8th. Only on the Yankees... I love it.
snuffbox Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 That Josh Lewin fellow is a weird bastard.
Guest Felonies! Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 Hoo boy, Mags murdered that one.
Bruiser Chong Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 The Yankees are in so much trouble if their hitting since the middle of Game 2 is any indication.
The Man in Blak Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 And Monroe follows suit. This could be a long game for Yankees fans, if Wright can't hold on through four.
The Man in Blak Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 "That bat, like the psyche of Alex Rodriguez, lays shattered in the field" *mute button*
Guest NYankees Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 Oh man... That one stung. Yeah and if Mussina had done his job and WON game 2 after he was given a lead you wouldn't have to worry about todays game. The Yankees had Randy Johnson and Wright starting games 3 and 4. Game 2 was a must win and Mussina shit the bed. Thank god Wright is a free agent after after this year.
Bruiser Chong Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 I can't believe you're still blaming Mussina. Go away you stupid ass troll. Was it also Mussina's fault that the offense hasn't scored in two plus games aside from a home run?
Guest Paul Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 Mussina hasn't left all these guys stranded on bases since game 2.
randomguy Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 Moose is ok but not a dominator and inconsistent. He is still capable of having a great game but too often has an average or lousy one. The Yanks are a mess. Their rotation is just awful. Wang, a guy who they didn't think anything of and wanted to trade, is their best pitcher. Johnson has been a complete bust, as have Wright and Pavano. The farm system hasn't produced much in the way of pitching.
Bruiser Chong Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 I imagine him sounding like the MSU radio guy who had a 15-minute meltdown following their loss to Notre Dame. "THEY CHOKED!!! THEY CHOKED ON APPLESAUCE!!"
Guest Paul Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 Man...I really don't like these Fox announcers.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 What a stupid comment (regarding Mussina). Is it Mussina's fault that the offense hasn't scored in 17 innings? It was a one run loss!
randomguy Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 Yanks showing some trademark patience at the plate here.
The Man in Blak Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 A-Rod has let the first pitch go by in virtually every at-bat this postseason. First at-bat today, he anxiously swings after the first pitch and grounds it straight to Inge. There's no positives for ARod here. If he does well in the eight hole, everybody says that he can't handle the pressure of hitting higher in the lineup. If he has a bad day, then he just sucks in the postseason - end of story.
Guest NYankees Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 What a stupid comment (regarding Mussina). Is it Mussina's fault that the offense hasn't scored in 17 innings? It was a one run loss! My thread stated that Game 2 was a must win game due to the Yankees starting Johnson and Wright in games 3 and 4. Not one single Yankee fan would trust either pitcher. Mussina was given the lead in game 2 and blew it. This offense is horrible, they are all swinging at the first pitch and Bonderman is going to throw a no hitter. Arod is now 1 for 12. Congrats to the Tigers for playing their A plus game over the last 3. The ALCS should be a very good series that goes either 6 or 7 due to the fact that each team is pretty complete and especially with their pitching staffs.
Guest Paul Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 There's still plenty of time, but man, they look lost when they're up to bat.

Guest Paul Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 I'll assume Lidle is coming in now...but it won't matter unless they start hitting. They're all completely in the choke zone right now...until I see otherwise.

I guess you didn't read that. The Tigers make the Yankees pay for the error and score another run to make it 4-0.
randomguy Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 Man give it up you dolts. The Yanks offense is not terrible. They have looked bad the past few games, but they have a good offense overall. The worst Yankees player is Cashman. Good pitching > good hitting. It is a lot easier to be a patient lineup when the opposing pitcher doesn't have any control or any great pitches. Against good pitching patience is a lot harder.
Guest Paul Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 23 pitches for 9 outs. Have they forgotten how to work a count? I mean, once Abreu came, that's all they did.
