Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2006 Texans actually have a winning record against the Jags. 5-4, but it's still a winning record. Leftwich has a habit of having bad games against the Texans. I mean some BAD games.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2006 62 YARDS! GOD DAMN! Matt Bryant downs the Eagles.
UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2006 Un F'N Believable I hate the South teams. And now one of the Dallas/Giants dipshit teams will take over first. McNabb needs to rebound big-time against the dying Jags next week or this season is likely over. Especially against that 2nd half schedule after the bye. The Robfather 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2006 Damn. 62 yarder. This has been a crazy week in the NLF.
Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2006 Awesome how last week TB wins after Cincinnati MISSES a 62 yarder and this week, WINS a game with a 62 yarder
razazteca 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2006 6 people got knocked out of the Survival League due to JAX and PHI losing today!
naiwf 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2006 What happened to the Eagles? Could it be that those powerhouses lost to the Bucs?!? I don't expect the Giants to win tomorrow night, but if they do I think they've got control of the NFC East.
Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2006 I've only seen a little bit of it, but this ATL/Pitt game has been a lot of fun so far.
Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2006 TB isn't as bad as that record indicates, they did make the playoffs last year, so it was just a QB change they needed and its working for them right now. Hey, whichever network is carrying the PIT/ATL game, instead of making me watch the most boring pair of teams in the NFL (Denver/Cleveland) or a Manning blowout for the entire duration, give me the ending of that game.
naiwf 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2006 True, but the Eagles were the ELITE of the NFC earlier this year according to some (even though they STILL haven't beaten anyone of note and have lost to the Saints and Bucs, and choked against the Giants). Their murderous stretch of the schedule is still to come, and at this point they'll be lucky to finish 8-8.
Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2006 Cutting away from the game? Bullshit NFL restrictions.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2006 You know, it is entirely possible the Texans are just getting better. Its not like they have lost to a bunch of cupcake teams this year. Those first six games of the season were pretty damn brutal for them and to come out of that 2-4 is a pretty good accomplishment. Secondary seems to be slowly improving and they got Wong back in the linebacker core which is already looking pretty damn good. Add in the development of Mario and they are coming along nicely in most areas on defense. They have five or six very winnable games left on their schedule. Two against the Titans, one against the Bills, Oakland, and Cleveland. And while highly unlikely, beating the Jets isn't completely out of their reach and its not completely nuts to think they could sweep out the Jags. The Colts, Giants and Patriots will more than likely murder them though.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2006 Cutting away from the game? Bullshit NFL restrictions. So they cut away to the studio because...?
Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2006 I bet the Falcons are losing their shit on the sidelines after that timeout call. Edit: That was an Oscar worthy performance by the Falcons kicker. Beautiful pratfall.
Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted October 22, 2006 I'm glad that order has been restored and the Bills are once again in the discussion for worst team in the league. Too bad they don't play OAK this year.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2006 The Steelers/Falcons game is nuts. Absolutely nuts. I'm relieved this was the game our region got, so I can see the whole thing instead of having that BS 4:15pm restriction.
fazzle 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2006 Totally. I would be so fucking pissed if I lost this game at 4:15.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted October 22, 2006 I should've bet on the Packers. Hell, if they hadn't won today, they'd be 1-5 and I would probably quit watching for the season. I can handle 2-4. Next two games are against Arizona and Buffalo. Is .500 out of reach? I hope not. They REALLY need to improve that pass defense. How could you hold Marc Bulger to 200 yards passing but give up 400 to Joey Harrington?!
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2006 Pac-10 quarterbacks always find a way to get at least 300 yards in any game they play, that's how.
Karc 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2006 Cutting away from the game? Bullshit NFL restrictions. Yeah, what's the deal with these restrictions? I can guess the networks fought it, because not letting viewers actually see the end of a good game reeks of arrogance by the NFL, given the loss in ratings. Or maybe the networks did it so the other networks couldn't steal the timeslots or something with an overtime game (like they could actually plan that sort of thing). Again, what gives? fazzle 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2006 I'd be willing to bet, if anything, it has to do with their deal with DirecTV.
snuffbox 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2006 I thought today would be more dificult for Green Bay than the next two, so .500 looks promising. Green went way beyond expectations. Brett Favre played a great game...2 tds for 405 on the career. 206 yards to go over 55,000. First win in Miami.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2006 I'd be willing to bet, if anything, it has to do with their deal with DirecTV. Nah, it's part of the NFL's contract with the networks themselves. I think it's to make sure that even the most futile 0-15 teams heading into the final week will get their TV time. And the Falcons are about to fuck up my pick'em. I don't have a problem with cutting away from a game if you're going to go straight to another game. However, we've had half an hour of watching Sterling Sharpe and Dan Marino in the studio laughing like loons as they watch the game I'M supposed to be watching! fazzle 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2006 After that game, a 32 yarder to win it for the Falcons just seems really anticlimatic.

I'm relieved this was the game our region got, so I can see the whole thing instead of having that BS 4:15pm restriction. Awesome awesome game. Totally makes up for local Fox carrying that Packers/Dolphins stinkbomb. At least I didn't have the friggin' Eagles on my TV AGAIN this week. I hate that team. Now I get to watch the Colts dissect Washington, another team I can't stand.
devo 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2006 Hey, the Jets won a game without loads of assisstance from their opponents! That's encouraging. Of course, the defense still looked terrible, as the Lions, when not giving the ball up, basically stomped all over the Jets defense. The offense looked really solid, though, particularly the run game. It was really exciting to watch Washington's performance today, particularly when you consider that it was against a better-than-average run defense. So far, the Jets have won every game they should of, which is great. If they continue that trend, they could end up with nine wins easy. Oh yeah, and the Steelers/Falcons game was fantastic. It was so much fun watching an entire sports bar full of ill-mannered, drunken Steelers fans be silenced so swiftly.

Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted October 22, 2006 I think Arizona is going to play cranky. The defense will have a real chip on their shoulder since they did very well against the Bears. Oakland just blows.
