(Marshall County, GA-WAFF) October 27, 2006 - Police say a Marshall County, Alabama, teen raped his mother to get revenge on his brother.

Police say 19-year-old Gary Helms, Jr., raped his 45-year-old mother this past weekend at Willow Terrace Trailer Park on Doyle Drive in Albertville.

It's a twisted crime that police say Helms admits.

"From what we understand the rape stemmed from an argument between him and his brother. And apparently they were arguing over a girlfriend. And the rape was some sort of retaliation towards his brother," said Sgt. Jamie Smith of the Albertville Police Department.

It was unusual retaliation on an unsuspecting victim.

Authorities say Helms' mother was apparently passed out drunk on the couch when the rape started.

"During the attack she did come to and recognize her attacker. (Reporter: As her son?) As her son," said Smith.

That's when, according to the police report, the mother "tried to get away, but he held her down until he was finished."

"It's totally sick is what it is," said Smith.

Helms was arrested and charged with the 1st degree rape of his own mother.

Smith says it's hard to wrap your mind around.

"Shocked, shocked would be more a better way to describe it. That somebody would dip to the lows to do something of this nature. It's just pretty much a shock to the conscience of the general public," said Smith.

Helms is being held in the Marshall County Jail on $100,000 bond.

And here is a pic of this momma's boy.

Maybe we should just have a remote island for all these perverts to be exiled to. I think federal prison is probably too good for someone like this. Let all the perverts rape and kill each other on some remote island, so we never have to worry about them again.

So basically, you want Ray Liotta's NO ESCAPE to become a reality?

Sand Mountain rape suspect now a suspect in the Shoals

Less than a week after being arrested in his hometown of Albertville, Gary Helms Junior is in even more trouble.

The 19-year-old, who is already accused of raping his own mother, now faces charges in Lauderdale county, according to detective Travis Clemons.

"According to the victim here, he allegedly pushed her down, took advantage of her and raped her and since then even has been making threats" says Clemons.

The investigator says his department had been looking for Helms for weeks, assuming he may be in the Boaz or Albertville area because of his most recent criminal history.

Clemons says they finally got the break they'd been looking for on Thursday,

"We found out he had been arrested in Albertville," added Clemons.

The case in Lauderdale County apparently started at the new municipal park in Saint Florian, north of Florence.

Clemons says Helms was in the area for an Oktoberfest event where he was working and operating rides for children when he allegedly met his 16-year-old victim.

Helms is still in the Marshall County Jail where he is held on a $100,000 dollar bond.

Now we know what happens to known child molestors in prison when they aren't under some sort of protection by the jail.

Do you think the same or worse would happen if its the rape of a mother?
