Why is this weird looking bespectacled guy occupying so many sigs/avatars? I mean, I know the origin, but every time I've seen TSM do this with any character from pop culture I would discover that it sucked. What makes this different? Sell me on this idea, O great and powerful internets.

I was just guessin hes from the american version of the office. But that was a guess. Having not liked the UK version, i havent bothered with the US incarnation.

How can I explain Dwight...

- He lives on a beet farm.

- He doesn't get sick.

- He was Assitant Regional Manager. I mean Assitant to the Regional Manager.

- He loves Michael Scott.

- He is amazing at paintball.

- He is a Volunteer Deputy Sheriff.

- He is banging a tight Christain.

- And he loves Michael Scott.

I dont know how anyone can find the Office even remotely entertaining let alone actually somewhat funny.

If given a choice between jabbing forks in both my eyes for a half an hour or watching the Office, Id watch the office..but after about 5 minutes Id be begging for the forks.

I feel the same as Marvin, only in reverse. My Name is Earl was good...for about 3 episodes...then, for me it went in the shitter.

The Office however, is the only 30 minute sitcom that has caught my attention as "must see" since Seinfeld.

Obviously i found the American version kind of embarassing, but it was ok in itself. I intensely disliked both My Name Is Earl and Arrested Development. Curb Your Enthusiasm is the last US comedy I really enjoyed. That pretty much includes movies as well, as I don't get the appeal of Ferrell, Black et al either.

Yes, Yes. Curb rules. Everyone that thinks otherwise is a fucking moron.

Dwight: Why tip someone for a job I'm capable of doing myself? I can deliver food. I can drive a taxi. I can, and do, cut my own hair. I did however, tip my urologist, because I am unable to pulverize my own kidney stones

The original Office is a quick watch. Only 16 episodes and a 90 minute special to end the series.

And in the first episode you'll see that the US version is almost an exact duplicate of the BBC's first episode.
