Christmas...

Recommended Posts

Since it's that time of year, what do you want for X-Mas and what are you getting people?

I would like:

- HD-DVDs (which ones, I am not sure yet. But a bunch of them)

- Star Wars Episodes 4-6

- Seinfeld Season 7

- Ice Age 2

- A robe

- Socks

- Boxers

- A Entertainment System Cabinet

- Clothes

- A Wii, if anyone can find it

I am getting people:

Girlfriend

- A computer

- A bunch of little stuff

Dad

- Gift Card for TiVo

- G-Men Jersey

- Some DVDs

Sister (Her B-Day is on the 23rd, so I have to get her a few things)

- iTrip for her iPod

- Something else, but I don't know what.

Brother

-HD receiver for DirectTV (Got a good deal on eBay for one)

Niece and Nephew

- No idea, probably some GameBoy games if anything

A time machine so I can fast-forward to January 7th when people return to being normal.

God I hate Christmas. My parents being fairly well off and my entire family getting plastered on Dec 25th are the only redeeming factors of this horrible season.

I want money. Or gift cards, although those aren't always the best.....you're stuck with just the one store.......but I'd rather just be able to go buy my own things instead of people buying me things that I won't like or will have to return. Unless I'm really close to the person, so I can personalize their gift, I usually give people gift cards too.

My Christmas list:

30-60 G iPod

One of those iPod things where I can play it through my car stereo

A few of those Western shirts I pointed out at Cavender's

FF12

A signed copy of Garcia Marquez's One Hundred Years of Solitude (He's also my favorite writer.)

These books:

Don Quixote (unabriged) by Cervantes

Rain on a Conga Drum by...some guy (It's a Townes van Zandt autobiography)

This poster:

This Houston Astros’ Big Game Climaware Microfleece Jacket by Adidas

These DVDs:

The first season of HBOs Rome boxed set

Be Here to Love Me: The Townes Van Zandt movie

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Some cowboy boots.

$2000 to help Elizabeth pay for school.

I'm not going to mention what I'm getting my family and lover for Christmas. It's all terribly cheap. This is the last year I can use the "I'm in college. I don't have any money." excuse.

I'm hoping for an I-Pod and a T-Shirt. Yes, that's all I want right now.

Any specific t-shirt? Pocketed? Non-pocketed? V-neck? Crew neck? You should go for a reversible shirt. Then you get two shirts for the price of one.

Some Malls have the credit card/gift card. Or you can get a Visa Card that is a gift card, it comes in $25, $50 and $100.

Ummm...what about the jews?

The only reason they celebrate Channakauh is because there is X-Mas. Atleast that is what my buddy Kobi says.

I'm not getting anyone else anything. My hours got cut in half, right after I spent the money that I had on myself.

My family celebrates both. But it's mostly cause Christmas is really secular now. You can celebrate Christmas and just have it be a day where you give gifts to people and celebrate family togetherness without it being about religion.

I want an S&W .500 Mag or cash to buy one.

I'd almost rather have the 4" barrel, but the 8 5/16" makes Dirty Harry look like a fag.

I'm getting the girl some DVDs and odds and ends, and an engagement ring.

Mom, Dad, and Brother all get gift cards to various retailers that they fancy.

an engagement ring.

Whoa, what the fuck?

A little shocking, I know.

Despite my current girlfriend's vulnerabilities, I find myself physically, mentally, and emotionally unable just to use her for my own devices and cast her aside. That's how I know it's love. Plus she has a wicked ass and treats me like a king. She's awesome.

It's not a gun for beginners, that's definite. I haven't fired the .500 yet personally, but everything I've read and heard points to it being surprisingly manageable. I already have a mean little .357 that's pretty rough on the wrists, so I'm not really worried about getting slapped in the forehead. I like revolvers. I'm a fairly decent shot, and they have a certain sexuality to them that I enjoy. The only self-defense scenarios I see myself using them in would be a point-blank carjacker/break and enter kind of situation, but I'm pretty comfortable inside of 25-30 yards or so. Other than that, I just shoot for recreation. I used to hunt more than I do now, but that was always with a shotgun.

I know I'm getting a few video games and dvds. Nothing too fancy. I'd love to get a Wii, which my girlfriend hinted being a possibility, but I won't get my hopes up :P

I mainly got DVDs and books for my friends and family. I got my girlfriend a DS with Final Fantasy III. Otherwise, nothing too noteworthy.

I'm not really sure what I want for Christmas, I guess money so I could really start saving for my future bills....or some Halo 2 figures to help me finish my collection. I'm missing quite a few.

As far as getting things for other people, its about time for me to start messageing people and see what they want.

Should come in handy when I make it out to LA.
