How much cash is in your wallet?

Recommended Posts

$4. It's probably never more then $20. I only use cash for the coffee store I prefer that doesn't accept credit card.

I only have that much because I'm shopping for a Wii. Really don't want the CC while doing that.

And, I'd kill you.

not even a check card? those things are heavenly!

the only drawbacks to check cards is that there are still a number of merchants that don't bother IDing the person, anyone could use your card. Especially places with self checkout lanes.

also, idiot cashiers/wait staff that will run your card over and over because it won't ring up the first time...they just keep on running it until it finally says OK.

What exactly is a cheque card? Far as I know they're not available in Canada...It's like a pre-paid credit card right? If it withdraws from a chequing account, why use that instead of debit?

To answer the topic: I make a point to carry two fives, a ten and a twenty. That doesn't happen nearly as often as I'd like though. Both jobs are direct deposit.

I guess it's actually another name for debit card...same concept really.

Around $300. My credit is atrocious. I have one card with a $500 limit, and I find checks abhorrent.

About $4, it's whats left after I collected $5 per person from all the group at the PPV last week, and then got $20 of gas, and then yesterday bought a breakfast burrito and coffee from AM/PM....

$0 at the moment. I used to carry loads of cash on me, sometimes as much as a grand at a time. When I was paid cash every night at my job, most of it went into my safe at home or in my pocket. I would make deposits into my checking account every other week or so.

Now that I don't have a "get paid in cash" job, I have it directly deposited in my checking account every Thursday night (Friday morning) at midnight. I use my Debit Card for everything, and get cash out when cash is needed. I prefer this way over what I did in the past, but it was nice to have cash on you in case you ran into a situation where you could not use your card.

Oh, and I don't carry a wallet anymore.

52 bucks, I had to take it out to finish my Christmas shopping. I never keep more than 40 bucks in my wallet in assorted bills at a time usually. The good old check card works for everything and what it doesn't work for, isn't worth more than 40 dollars.
