naiwf 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2007 Watch PK (or some other Pats guy) mention that Belichick teaches his team to fumble into traffic in such a way that the ball gyrates beyond the D-line into the endzone where a lineman can recover it. Ya know, anything besides admit that that was a lucky play that only the Pats end up pulling off for a TD.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2007 That was damn lucky for the Patriots. Damn lucky. The Colts players actually fought each other away from the ball and let it roll into the end zone so NE could recover.
The Niggardly King 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2007 The play was designed to go that way... good trickery from General Bel.
NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2007 Someone needs to tell the Colts Offensive coordinator that you don't necessarily need to design plays where every single WR in on the play needs to run a deep route. I mean with Harrison and Wayne going deep, why not have a RB or Dallas Clark run a 5-10 yard route because the middle is always left wide open when Harrison and Wayne are running deep. It's like the guy is spreading New Englad's defense, but for no reason. It's either, "Everyone goes deep" or "dump pass to the RB with everyone in close to block" It just seems very predictable thus far.

The Man in Blak 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2007 This one is apparently over already, as the Colts and the fans in the dome have already packed it in. Unbelievable. Â I know that it was a miraculous fumble recovery but, for the love of god, there's over forty minutes left in the game.

The Man in Blak 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2007 For fuck's sake, that play might as well be the Ty Law Memorial Option Pass. If Manning's going to make the same idiotic mistakes every time they play the Patriots, he deserves any and all criticism that's going to come crashing down from this game. Â Also, bonus points for Marvin Harrison (if that's who it was) doing his best Randy Moss and just sitting and watching Samuel pick that off.

Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2007 There's the difference between Manning from Brady, Favre and Elway among others. Manning never seems to be upset aside from his Peyton Manning "Gee" expression. The aforementioned QB's usually would abuse his offense and fire them up. Yet, Manning sits down and sulks wondering who he'll point the finger to.

naiwf 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2007 Why make them replay the down? I don't think the Pats would go for a 51/52 yarder. Now they might be able to get closer on the replayed 3rd down. Â Â Well, the massive blitz worked. Dungy and co. get lucky.
