Just John 0 Report post Posted January 31, 2007 Nice game by Austin Croshere tonight. I know Dallas has a stacked roster as is, but I always wondered why Croshere couldn't get anything but garbage minutes.
KingPK 0 Report post Posted January 31, 2007 Celtics lose again, are one loss away from tying the franchise record for consecutive losses, and Kobe Bryant's coming to town and is pissed off after his suspension. So what are we looking at here? 60 points? 70? 80?
Gert T 0 Report post Posted January 31, 2007 Carlos Boozer is out for 4-6 weeks. Get ready for a steady dose of Paul Millsap!!! Serioualy though it looks like Utah is destined for the 4 spot anyway, so I'm not too worried. Losing 22 & 12 a night is a killer, but as long as Millsap can stay out of foul trouble, Utah will be fine.
Guest Report post Posted January 31, 2007 So who makes the all-star team in Boozer's place? I'll say Josh Howard.

Marvin Williams and Sheldon Williams got screwed. For anyone that says the SUns can't play defense, please watch a golden state warriors game. I swear to god, me and 4 of you guys could put up 120 on them. This is the worst defense I have EVER seen in the history of NBA basketball. I say that with all seriousness and no exageration. Its absolutely pathetic. And the most pathetic thing is Nellie looks like he has no problem with it.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted February 1, 2007 Here's one from out of left field: The Clippers sign Doug Christie to a 10-day contract.
Ripper 0 Report post Posted February 1, 2007 Not too far out of left field. They waived Alvin fucking Williams to make room for him. Why don't they just sign penny to teach Livingston a thing or two about being a big point?

Just John 0 Report post Posted February 1, 2007 That Spurs/Jazz game was pretty good. Utah made some great hustle plays and hit the big shots. I was particularly impressed with Millsap and Okur, who has improved greatly since the last time I saw him play (I haven't seen any Jazz games this year). As an added benefit, Houston is now only 2 games behind San Antonio for one of the top 4 spots. With Houston hovering in the 4/5 range, I really hope Phoenix loses more down the stretch and stays as the 2 seed. Phoenix is the last team I want the Rockets to face in the playoffs. Guest Report post Posted February 1, 2007 The Lakers are right where I want them to be. 5th or 6th. Surely, this team will go to the Conference Finals if they get that draw. I'd like it even more if the Clippers got 7th or 8th, they could give Dallas and Phoenix some big problems.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted February 1, 2007 I still think had Bell's three not gone down in game 5, the Clippers might well have gone to the Finals.
Guest Report post Posted February 1, 2007 I'm positive they would have, and probably would have won it all. They're very experienced and have lots of big bodies. They'll do something this season, even if it's taking a higher seed to 6 or 7 games.
Just John 0 Report post Posted February 1, 2007 The thing with the Clippers is they're as big of a threat as anyone if they get in rhythm, low seed or not. I guarantee you Phoenix doesn't want to see them again. If the Clips get going, then there's 7 legit teams in the West playoffs, though you can't even count out Denver with two all-stars like Melo and AI. Man, there's gonna be some exciting basketball in April and May.

Cheech Tremendous 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2007 Carmelo Anthony, Josh Howard, Deron Williams in the West... any others who are snubs?
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2007 I was surprised that Tony Parker got in. There's really no one player that I can say really got snubbed, though, aside from Howard, who will still get in with the injury replacements, in all likelihood. Good players are going to be left off every year, but it's hard to say that the guys who did make it didn't deserve it.
Just John 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2007 Zack Randolph is only one of four players averaging 20/10, so other than playing for the Blazers, I'm not sure what prevented him from getting in.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2007 Within the hour of the announcements, I've already found three articles containing "Anthony snubbed" in the headline.
Ripper 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2007 Seriously, fuck Vince Carter, that should have been Joe Johnsons spot. I guess New Jersey winning 5 more games was the difference maker. And Eddy Curry not being a Allstar is ridiculous. Shaq should forfit his spot.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2007 1:06 left and LeBron clangs both free throws with the game tied, and Wade goes right down and converts a three-point play. EDIT: Then misses 1 of 2 with a chance to tie it the next play down.
naiwf 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2007 LeBron clotheslined Wade, and will likely have to be suspended for it thanks to that BS call against Kobe. I changed the channel a little while ago when Wade turned it over for the 11th time and Miami was down by 9 I think. I never would have imagined the Cavs would end up losing this one.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2007 And then probably just earned himself a suspension for that foul on Wade. At least, it probably should be after Kobe's suspension.

Ripper 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2007 And its half time and we learn how dominant the Spurs are over the SUns because they play great Defense and the suns play none, and how San Antonio is such a superior team. Half time score: Spurs 53- Suns 50 They make me larf.
