Guest Tajiri Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 Is this Wrestlemania? Because it's feeling like every other PPV they throw together. Still early though. It's feeling like Sesame Street with these backstage segments. Bunch of Muppets dancing, and Boogeyman showing up behind Trump. Which is why I'm glad I didn't pay for this.
LooseCannon25 Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 Good to see LArry "The Axe" Hennig be there on behalf of his son.
ChrisMWaters Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 OUCH. Didn't expect Undertaker/Batista to be THIS early in the card!
UZI Suicide Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 Batista-'Taker on NEXT? Fuckin lame. Those guys wanted to main event badly from most reports.
DMann2003 Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 WHAAA!?!?! World Heavyweight Title already? Guess Cena/HBK is Main Eventing
ChrisMWaters Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 Then again, looking at it...the positioning of this match reminds me of WrestleMania VIII. Savage/Flair went on as the mid-point of that show. In this show, Batista/Taker serves as the mid-point match.
UZI Suicide Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 The match being so early on the card upps Batista's chances quite a bit, IMO.
cd213 Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 That way the fans won't shit on Mr. Kennedy too much for ending the streak. They can come back with a good match after that.
bradolson Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 Based on this spot on the card, I'm thinking we might see Taker win via DQ.
slimm44 Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 Taker/Orton was billed as a top match and was pretty early on the show. Whatever, I'm not going to whine, it should be decent.
luke-o Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 I can't believe Cena's maineventing over the Royal Rumble winner. I can't believe the ECW match is over this.
RonL21 Posted April 2, 2007 Author Report Posted April 2, 2007 Think they bumped up that attendance figure too? i doub t it...they were selling $25 standing room only tickets....anyone in the Detroit area who wanted to be apart of something special couldve bought a ticket for that price..cheaper than paying for it on PPV
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 Batista/Undertaker going on this early has me a little concerned that Batista might be going over. Then again, it could be a very subtle tease of Batista going over as a way to create doubt over the result. In any event, I think this match going on so early is very weird. I'd have this going a little higher up the card.
Aero Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 I like it better this way. I think putting the three big matches one after the other would be overkill. After a big Taker win here, you cool the crowd down with Ashley/Melina, and then the BOTB with a likely 5-10 minute haircutting, and finally HBK/Cena.
LooseCannon25 Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 Batista out first, sounds like 60% boos and 40% cheers. He looks amped as hell
Aero Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 Were the cameras supposed to miss the first two explosions?
muzz Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 Batista got a nice "boo" I thought I heard that, but I wasn't sure. 'Tista's blown up already.
Aero Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 I just realized, I forgot about the ECW match... that should've been ahead of this.
Guest Smues Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 If I order a pizza now it should get here before Taker gets to the ring.
TheFranchise Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 Batista and Taker's on now? That also increases the chance of Kennedy pinning Cena later.
Repo Man jr Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 Based on this spot on the card, I'm thinking we might see Taker win via DQ. Would be a good way to turn Batista heel
