CanadianGuitarist 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2007 I tried to guess which year the Plante goal was before clicking the 'additional info'. My guess was 99. I was wrong. And I marked the fuck out over Randy Cunneyworth. Also, I'm a fucking retard over my inability to process 5-2-1 earlier.
Annabelle 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2007 detroit is snake-bitten. they took it to the flames for 5 periods & only got two goals. they took it (well, not really) to the sharks & got no goals. detroit outshot & totally out-chanced the sharks. the sharks had NO scoring opportunities after they scored but they dictated the pace. they sat back, which really, was kind of a mistake in a sense because all it would have taken would have been an unlucky bounce & detroit was back in the game. in retrospect its easy to say the sharks played the perfect game, but i think they could have done more damage. there was a point in the first period where the sharks looked absolutely dominant. but it lasted about 5 minutes. did they chose to stop after scoring two goals? or did detroit play a lot better? i'm not sure. as a red wings fan, i'm scared. its as though three of the best teams (buffalo, anaheim, and san jose) decided to show their dominance. the only reason why this was respectable is because i think detroit is equally good as those teams. both the devils & sens are a league below. and i am confident in the devils, still. totally. Red Baron 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2007 San Jose played perfect on the PK. Blocked shots or if not, the Wings were shooting the pucks wide. San Jose has the best defensive core in the playoffs in terms of depth and skill.
Guest Report post Posted April 27, 2007 San Jose is the most complete team out there. But they're really young. Rivet and Guerin are the oldest players on their team by quite a bit, that's why I didn't pick them to get deep. It doesn't surprise me that they're playing so well. treble 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2007 So, only about 15,000 at the game in Jersey tonight? That's pretty sad, I wonder if moving to Newark will do anything.

That's not going to happen though, Nabokov's GAA is under 2 ever since he got the #1 job back.

That's paid attendance, too; a quick camera pan of the arena showed there were probably a lot fewer than that actually in attendance.

There's actually quite a bit of big game experience on the Sharks, though it's easy to miss as a first glance. Guerin's won a Cup, Rivet's won a World Championship, Thornton and Marleau both have World Cups.

Guest Queen Leelee Report post Posted April 28, 2007 He needs some anger management classes if he's going to fly into a rage like that after a WIN. It was a very lucky win. The Sabres will not be able to get away with this 1 period shit and winning much longer. But, whatever. Zubrus and Vanek were HOSSES in the 3rd. Well, Vanek always is. Since he's the best around. CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2007 The second period of this Vancouver-Anaheim game was some of the best hockey I've seen so far in the playoffs. 33 total shots, and some fantastic goaltending at both ends to only let two of them into the net. Annabelle 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2007 lindy ruff is slowly yet SURELY inching closer to my most hated man in hockey. what a petulent child. screaming after winning. and being in the WRONG in regards to what he was arguing about. what a pathetic excuse for a professional. great role model for your kids. and why don't you throw some more shit in the stands at your own fans during your tirade, lindy. imagine being one of his kids? Red Baron 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2007 I would love to see them win the cup, but theres one player I don't want to see his name on Lord Stanley. Anyone want to take a guess?

packwingfn 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2007 I'm a fan of Joe Thornton, so I wouldn't mind seeing his name on the cup. There's something about the Sharks, I have no reason to hate them, unlike the Flames where I had a few different reasons. If wings don't win here, they'll be lucky to win a game in San Jose

Zetterberg is God 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2007 They're getting their asses kicked, but hopefully that late goal gave them the momentum to get back in this game.
Zetterberg is God 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2007 Much better period for the Wings, but the Sharks shot blocking and goaltending is too much for them at this point.
Zetterberg is God 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2007 Fuck yeah, back in it. Datsyuk with the huge goal to give Detroit some momentum going to San Jose. It will be very tough to win but all they need is a split.
packwingfn 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2007 What a finish. Go Datsyuk. The key point for the Wings to regain control of this series: 1. NO turnovers 2. Better start. They didn't look like Detroit at ALL in the first 10 Minutes, hence why I was scared Because besides the first period in both games, Detroit hasn't played that bad
