Star Ocean 3 Posted May 5, 2007 Report Posted May 5, 2007 You can't be satisfied until you win it all, and you're garbage unless you do. Imagine your team barely squeaking by. This is playoff hockey. It's hockey, in the playoffs. That's the postseason. Even the Water Fowl haven't played their best consitently yet, but they're still in the Bestern Conference Finals. Now the Selachimorpha must complete it. You can't bring anything but your best in the postseason. This is the true test.
CanadianChris Posted May 5, 2007 Author Report Posted May 5, 2007 Ray Emery was in a car accident this morning on his way to the airport: http://www.canada.com/topics/sports/story....a65&k=19170 Fortunately, it was the Hummer he crashed, and not the Lamborghini.
Guest Queen Leelee Posted May 5, 2007 Report Posted May 5, 2007 How convenient. After getting his ass kicked by Marty Biron, he's afraid Trippin' Ty Conklin will squash him too.
the max Posted May 5, 2007 Report Posted May 5, 2007 This is playoff hockey. It's hockey, in the playoffs. That's the postseason. You can't bring anything but your best in the postseason. This is the true test. Thanks for the reminder, Mr. Nantz.
packwingfn Posted May 5, 2007 Report Posted May 5, 2007 Whats with the Red Wings and the Too many men on the ice penalities these playoffs?
Zetterberg is God Posted May 5, 2007 Report Posted May 5, 2007 Wings are looking good, a strong third period should be enough for the win and here's hoping they hang on and do just that.
packwingfn Posted May 5, 2007 Report Posted May 5, 2007 I went crazy after the Datsyuk goal. Anyone wonder how serious Schiender's injury is? Who do you think they'll bring up for Game 6? Is Kronwall available yet?
Zetterberg is God Posted May 5, 2007 Report Posted May 5, 2007 What a game for the Wings. Closing it out on Monday seems like a real possibility and let's hope they can do it. Sucks to lose Schneider and I thought I heard the NBC guys say Meech might get called up.
Annabelle Posted May 5, 2007 Report Posted May 5, 2007 shcneider broke his wrist. i've read conflicting reports on his return. one said he'll be out for the series. other one said for the playoffs. i have him in my draft, so i am upset. plus he is very valuable on the point.
Guest Queen Leelee Posted May 6, 2007 Report Posted May 6, 2007 Fucking Senatours. I'd like if they'd win less convincingly. Shit's on, though.
CanadianChris Posted May 6, 2007 Author Report Posted May 6, 2007 I turned to my wife with about 7 minutes to go in the first period, when the Devils were in complete control, and said, "If they can keep it 1-0 by the end of the first, they'll be fine." And that's exactly how it's turned out so far.
Guest Queen Leelee Posted May 6, 2007 Report Posted May 6, 2007 I wish Hubby would get into hockey, but nobody cares about it south of Canadian border states.
mike546 Posted May 6, 2007 Report Posted May 6, 2007 These refs are fucking AWFUL. This 3rd period has been total bullshit.
Guest Queen Leelee Posted May 6, 2007 Report Posted May 6, 2007 Wah. You're gone. Bye. Sabres are still playing like shit. Thankful they got a couple lucky goals. The first and the last ones, especially. The time is now.
CanadianChris Posted May 6, 2007 Author Report Posted May 6, 2007 Sabres are still playing like shit. And that's why they're going home in 6. Or 5, just for symmetry.
Guest Queen Leelee Posted May 7, 2007 Report Posted May 7, 2007 Hey, you can wait a few days to bait me. K.
CanadianChris Posted May 7, 2007 Author Report Posted May 7, 2007 Game 3, here I come. I'm ready to have my eardrums blown out.
Guest Queen Leelee Posted May 7, 2007 Report Posted May 7, 2007 Buffalo/Ottawa memories: (Real time view of the last 2 minutes.) My favorite part is that asshole smirk on Smolinski's face. "Yep, I won the game." No. Sorry. Too bad they don't have Havlat and Smolinski any longer.
cd213 Posted May 7, 2007 Report Posted May 7, 2007 I hope that Buffalo wpies the ice with Ottawa. I really hate the fact that Dany Heatly is even coming close to smeeling the Stanley Cup. After he murdered his former teammate in that car crash he should have been locked up.
Star Ocean 3 Posted May 7, 2007 Report Posted May 7, 2007 Shark-related metaphors to be used as a means of conveying the joy of victory for SJ
cd213 Posted May 7, 2007 Report Posted May 7, 2007 He didn't murder him. He was only driving drunk and speeding and caused the crash. I'm sorry Vahicular Manslaughter.
CanadianChris Posted May 7, 2007 Author Report Posted May 7, 2007 He didn't murder him. He was only driving drunk and speeding and caused the crash. I'm sorry Vahicular Manslaughter. NO.
treble Posted May 7, 2007 Report Posted May 7, 2007 I wonder if the vahicle still had that new car smeel. And I like making Dany Heatly jokes as much as anyone, but he didn't murder Snyder.
cd213 Posted May 7, 2007 Report Posted May 7, 2007 I was rereading an article on the situation and I was wrong about the driving drunk part. He was speeding though and he was brought up on murder charges, first and second degree vehicular homicide. He not going jail doesn't mean he didn't murder Dan Snyder. The crash was his fault and he even acknowledged it was his fault. I don't care if Snyder's parents accepted his appology. He's the only hockey player next besides Michael Peca that I can't stand and root against.
