I would think it would be someone with some name value..or at least some of the cruiserweights on Smackdown, like Kendrick or London..or both or Noble would be added to ECW. Their both fighting for the same spot and since Lashley's been "teh guy", I'm willing to bet Punk is the one leaving. There's nothing for him on ECW. He'll never get the title with Lashley ahead of him. But the question is...where the fuck does he go? I could see them making a big deal over Punk leaving, but what show would he end up on... If I had to guess, I'd say Punk ends up on SD. There's a huge gap there that he could fill rather easily with Kennedy, Rey & UT gone. Batista/Edge is done as a program, so Punk could slip right in there and feud with Edge. Edge would be a perfect person to help Punk get to the next level. He's pretty much number 2 on the show right now, if they built him up for 6 more months then had him going for (and getting for a couple of months) the ECW title, it could put him right up at ME level. Move him to Smackdown or Raw, and it'll be at leats 2 years before he could get to that stage. Or he could flounder like so many others (Carlito, Shelton etc.....) I'd say keep Punk in ECW if they are going to add some worth while people, or move him if they are going to rape and pillage what's left of the roster. Personally, I'd like to see ECW have some of the old ROH guys like London, Kendrick, Noble, Punk, Cabana mixed in with badasses like Benoit, Finlay, Regal, etc. Make it the more wrestling based show, with the hardcore Balls/Sandman/Dreamer stuff thrown in as well. cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted June 6, 2007 Call me crazy but I think I'd keep Punk and trade Lashley. What exactly IS there for Lashley to do on ECW at the moment? Feud with Snitsky? Who wants to see that? So I'd move Lashley to Smackdown, since SD is in dire need of a top face. Batista is beyond played out on SD as he keeps getting shot after shot at Edge. So I'd move Batista to Raw, where he can either feud with Orton or turn heel and feud with Cena. Since Lashley would move to SD he'd likely have to surrender the ECW belt, so they can do a tourney to start fresh (this isn't quite like the WWE title switching from SD to Raw, since both are WWE anyway...ECW has to have the ECW belt). Let's face it, what is the big picture on SD at the moment? This Edge/Batista feud is going nowhere so they need a new top face to challenge. It gives them a new top face in Lashley, Batista can go back to Raw where he enjoys being, and Punk can be elevated to ECW title status and feud with the New Breed over the title or other guys that they bring in from the draft.
