Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted June 27, 2007 What about storyline changes? ECW is now without a top face. CM Punk can just slide into the top spot, but there is a big hole at the # 2 spot. Do you think WWE has called RVD yet? Obviously the Vince storyline is gone. Johnny Nitro how long can his title reign last with one legit in brand challenger? Will we see another "visiting superstar of the week" like we saw with Big Show? The townspeople have lit the torches, it looks to me like the steroid witch hunt is on. I hope the E is ready because their policy is going to come under a lot of scrutiny. Nitro might just manage to surprise people as the champion, might as well see what he can do with it. Short of getting RVD to come back, they could just as easily move one of the Hardys over to be the #1/2 face for that show. Jericho, if he hasn't completely turned off the idea of returning to the business after Benoit, and they can come with a deal, can be a viable choice to put on ECW. Guest Hasbeen2 Report post Posted June 27, 2007 I could see them putting Chavo on ECW to help take some pressure off of him. Jericho would make the show but I can't ever see him not being on one of the main two if he returns. I'd say there will be more effort to get Van Dam back, keep him, however you want to term it. Dips 0 Report post Posted June 27, 2007 There is no chance whatsoever that WWE will ever have an extended break like some people are suggesting from Wrestlemania to Vengeance or anything similiar. The amount of revenue that would cost them in house shows, live events, merchandise, etc would be way too high for them to even consider it.

There'd always be 2 brands on the road at any given time and seeing as they only run two touring house show groups they wouldn't loose revenue apart from the current ECW timeslot. mysterious_w 0 Report post Posted June 27, 2007 The best we could hope for is the 10 day breaks I mentioned. WWE is a business, they aren't going to stop running any shows as it would bring down revenue, and they have to think about the shareholders. But having a couple of guys off every week would not really impact at all and may benefit the WWE if the breaks let the wrestlers clear their heads and help them cope better with life on the road. Human Fly 0 Report post Posted June 27, 2007 If WWE were to rotate brands then guys who were on break would just get permission to work independent dates to make up for lost revenue with polaroids and wrestling in front of 300 people. Wrestling is a tough business but these people only have a limited amount of time to make their money, they need to make hay while the sun is shining. bobobrazil1984 0 Report post Posted June 28, 2007 other than dropping the Vince death angle, it won't change one bit. They'll just get defensive about all the steroid talk, and go in the opposite direction. In fact I expect something incredibly tasteless, like, I dunno, wrestlers cutting promos on what an asshole Benoit is, or something like that.
