Bush looks after his friends

Recommended Posts

That's normal behavior for most people. I tend to look out for my friends. Don't you?

Not when they were arrestedand convicted of crimes.

This is a man who mocked a woman on death row who had turned her life around and become a more than model prisoner, mocked her, pantiming scrubbing tears from his eyes and mocked, "Gov. Bush, please don't kill me!"

But he can keep a guilty member of his inner circle from jail entirely?

Despicable.

The man is scum. I've said this from day one to any right-winger who will listen and most of them STILL will not budge. Fuck them.

Bush is wrong. He has ALWAYS been wrong and still far too many people have their heels dug in for no other reason than to try and have their daily mantra save face. When civil war comes to the Un-United States it will so deserve what it gets.

Excuse me? I'M an ass because NOTHING is this country can seemingly go correctly? Don't go calling ME an ass just because the people who are supposedly are in charge are drunk with power with no regard for anyone around them?

Take a look around you. EVERYONE is pissed with good reason and looking for somebody to blame. So when some shit like this Libby bullshit goes down are YOU going to be surprised when some throats get grabbed? Given another 25 - 30 years this shit... this IS going to boil over when people get fed up, because they have already stopped listening. Just a matter of time before they start hitting and feel justified doing so.

So you know what you can do with your ass comment.

It really shows the ineptitude of this administration that they just couldn't sneak Scooter away to a Costa Rican villa and have him serve his time there.

Or they just know they can get away with it, so they will do it in plain sight. Libby personifies the complete lack of accountability this administration has.

Keith Olberman requested bush to resign today. It's not like it's going to get anything done, but it was a good monologue. Bush is just kind of a dick anyways and he's doing whatever the hell he and his cabinet wants to do. Lame duckism in its best. To make matters worse, Democrats are buying into this bipartisan bullshit when they should be grabbing the reins and making serious reform. The whole "reaching across the aisle" scheme is a shining example of a complete lack of democrat backbone. It's fucked up. Even with democratic control of the house and senate, the republicans are filibustering every piece of legislation that the democrats put forward, which is just about as ironic as they come seeing as how the democrats came under intense fire from the grand ole assholes for filibustering the alito confirmation as well as other pieces of legislation.

Yeah, Obama '08 motherfucker.

The country would have to get their act together and not give two terms to another guy who is a contender for biggest ever fuckup of a US president.

In this case the the "Blame America" handle works just fine. That Bush hasn't been dragged kicking and screaming out of the White House is a testament to how low this country has sunk.

I'm so fucking embarrassed to be from here.

Btw, the degree of apathy is our society for most is so great that nothing will be done by the masses in reaction to any of the bullshit from this or any other administration until it lands on our doorsteps. We are far too comfortable and have far too many distractions to raise more than a mild criticism, let alone the raising of arms against the government. Mind you, this is the same country that staged the Boston Tea Party.

Yeah, apathy is rampant in this country. It seems like the people in the US only care about two things: not takin' my gun away and gas prices.

Well, getting something done about gas prices would be nice, but they can't even accomplish that.

I really think we're going to have to see some assassinations take place for things to change. I'm not advocating it, but I don't see any reason for change on the horizon right now, in terms of how our government is operating.

So now... we're saying that civil war, murder, shoving Them up against The Wall, all that crap, is a GOOD thing? Jesus.

Bush sucks, but relax, this time in, uh, seventeen months, he won't be here anymore.

Yeah, Obama '08 motherfucker.

I'll be here as a shoulder to cry on when Hillary wins the primary.

Mind you, this is the same country that staged the Boston Tea Party.

And we staged it over far lower taxes than we currently endure, mind you.

Don't forget blocking gay marriage, that's apparently damned important. (Though I actually agree with the "gimme guns and cheap gas" sentiment.)

Did anyone else freeze? When they saw what Invader3k wrote?

It was incredibly offensive at best. I would never support the assasinaiton of the president of the united states regardless of political affiliation. I have friends working in the DOD and based on some rumors they've been telling me recently, I wouldn''t take comments like that lightly. I just want the day to be over and will pray for the safety of the president.

All an assassination would do is give supporters some more moral ammunition. Completely ineffective.

Soldiers on the streets and widespread warrantless arrests would be pretty much the only thing to do it. We're pretty numb to everything else. I'd even wonder if having Muslims wear a nice yellow band around their shoulder would cause much of a stir.

I agree that we should NEVER wish assasination on the president of the United States (besides, do you really want President Dick Cheney?) but I agree that it's a travesty that Bush hasn't been impeached and dragged kicking and screaming from the White House. What does this guy have to do to have his own party turn on him? Kill a puppy on the stage? Rush Limbaugh would probably say the puppy was a liberal and deserved it.

This is not about Republicans vs. Democrats. This is about the worst lying piece of trash president being allowed to do whatever the hell he wants without giving a shit to any consequences. His reelection is going to go down in history as one of the stupidest acts ever committed by the American people.

I am sure Scooter Libby knew he was being pardoned well ahead of time. It was probably a back room deal between him and Cheney. Basically, if Scooter takes the fall, but doesn't give up any further names/information, then Bush will be there to pardon him when the time comes.

Don't mistake me here. I do not WISH for a civil war OR that anyone be assassinated. But goddamnit nobody can convince me that justice can be done in this country after bullshit like this. It is awful, but apathy is all I can have left. Being powerless has never had a more firm grip.

Well, the majority of voters could, y'know, vote for someone not like Bush.

(The majority DID in 2000, but that's a different issue altogether.)

The new President could come in, launch missiles at a penguin preserve just because they don't trust those bird bastards and we'll all just go, "Well, least they aren't George Bush."

This piece of shit has set the bar so low that as a country, we're fucked in the future. It's only going to go downhill from here since neither party has shown for 5 seconds that they give a flying fuck about the American people. But that's ok, we show we don't give a fuck about ourselves every election when we go with the "lesser of two evils" and pretend no other options exist.

Fucking George Bush has made sure apathy and complete hopelessness has gripped what was left of the voting public. Just fucking great. In his last four years, he managed to kill everything that was left. The least he could have done is come out and give us all the middle finger and told us to go fuck our mothers.

My comment comes more from the fact that we have to basically wait 'til at least 2009 for anything to change, and even then, I really doubt much will happen to improve things for the average middle class person in the US, or to change the status quo of our government. Again, I'm not advocating anything that extreme (and I wasn't necessarily talking about the president), I just don't think anything else will really get our government to get off their completely partisan asses at this point. I really do think that our elected officials need to learn to fear their constituency, even just a little bit.

Jesus christ, except for the very wealthy, the average middle class American has things better than, oh, the entire rest of the world.

O'Reilly: "It's Nancy's fault that Benoit killed her. But I'm not blaming the victim!"

You just DID advocate it, dude, read your own post.

"I thought V for Vendetta was soooo cooool!"

Do I think the two-party system that stifles new ideas and the cronyism of the old boys' club on top are generally bad things? Absolutely. Do I think that we need violence to solve them? Hell no. CHANGE the law, don't DESTROY the law.

Canada and most of Western Europe says hello. But we're socialist pigs, so I supposed we don't count.

Depends on how you count things as "better". If it's in terms of money and luxuries, America wins over everyone, we've got bigger stinkin' piles of money than everyone else in the world put together. In terms of being able to actually have a say in what your government is doing... uh... still working on that one.
