On the last ECW on Sci Fi, the words “Johnny Nitro” were uttered for the final time as John Morrison revealed his true name. At The Great American Bash, he stopped talking and took care of things in the ring when he retained the ECW World Title against CM Punk. Has finally having the chance to be himself led Morrison to be an even more dominant champion?

Punk had a better night last week on ECW on Sci Fi, earning a win over Elijah Burke just one week after the Experience broke his losing streak against Balls Mahoney. How will ECW's Guiding Light respond to the loss? Has he reached another drought?

Also last week, Big Daddy V had a mammoth ECW on Sci Fi debut, leaving his teacher, Matt Striker, proud. What is next in the path of destruction for ECW’s largest teacher’s pet?

Find out the answers to all of these questions and more on the next ECW

So what will Punk do to earn another title shot? He got pretty much beat clean at the pay per view so I wonder. Maybe they will turn it into a 3 way dance? Big Daddy V in a championship match for the first time since 1995?

Maybe Punk can have another #1 contender's match against Stevie Richards and Burke!

Yeah, the constant clean jobbing of Punk really leaves a blank and heatless title picture in ECW. Unless CorVon is going after it? I'd mark for a Pounce on Nitro/Morrison.

I say DOUBLE pounce on both Morrison and Punk leading to Cor Von getting the title. One guy can fly out of the ring, while the other takes the pin. I say Morrison takes the pinfall leading to Cor Von vs. Punk at Unforgiven for the title. Yes, Punk's chase continues for the title.

Was it ever revealed if Punk called for the pin in that match due to getting hurt?

I'm sorry to say but they have pretty much buried punk in the eyes of the fans. I mean johny fucking nitro had been booked for months as nothing but a loser, then punk loses to him clean twice. I just don't see how anyone can really take him very serious (as in casual fans) when he can't even beat Nitro/morrison. The wwe never ceases to amaze me...although I think the love for punk has always been overdone in some circles, its clear that they could have made punk into a bigger star than he is but instead of doing the smart thing, they job him to fucking nitro twice....or have him just barely get by someone like stevie richards...one of the few bonified jobbers left in the wwe.

No excuse for Johnny fucking Nitro to be the champion in the first place, while CM Punk has been working his way up the card since the beginning of this new ECW project. It just goes to show you how much politics play a part when you have a guy working his ass off to get over, and he just keeps getting buried and jobbed whenever he has an oppurtunity to win the big one. To Johnny Nitro of all fucking people...

Big Show was losing to both Hardys (among others) a few months prior to joining up with Heyman the first time and beating Brock (in one of the stupidest decisions of Heyman's in-character career as Brock had the match won). They are trying to build Johnny up, and this just happens to be the way they are going about it.

And the irony is they are having him getting buried to a guy who was ALSO buried for months prior. That, folks, is how you TRULY kill off a guy's potential.

People love to throw around the word buried. He jobbed, so he's buried. Ruined for life. He's worthless. Can't believe NoCal tried to use the non existant politics card. There is an excuse for Morrison being a champion and it's because they thought he'd be a fluke champion to put the title right back on Benoit when he would return after missing the PPV. Obviously that was thrown out the window, so might as well build Morrison as a top champion heel.

Punk isn't ruined. You're reacting for the sake of reacting.

Why are people still high on Monty Brown? Guy is ass in the ring and on the mic, yet people still act like he's going to be the second coming of the Rock.

What gimmick change? He's doing the exact same thing he did as Johnny Nitro

No. You see, his hair is fluffy now and he's wearing two jackets now. It's subtle. Pay attention.

I wish they would let other guys on the roster work on their mic skills as much as Morrison is getting a chance too.

Damnit, Shelton to ECW!
