And he might have been the worst baseball player I have ever seen over the first half of the year. I'm surprized he wasn't flat out released.

They need to bring him up asap, the hitting has been fantastic but Detroit and Anaheim and Toronto are coming up and in close games this Myers/Farnsworth gap to Rivera will notttt cut it.

The AAA Yankees were in Ottawa last week, that's why.

There is no other reason right now to get rid of Myers than to bring up Joba to the show. Giambi nor Mientkiewicz aren't ready yet, and even if they were it would be somebody off the bench to go rather than somebody else out of the pen. They already traded a reliever for an infielder this week as it is.

What do the Minnesota Twins need to do, outside of winning almost all their remaining games against the Tigers, Indians, and White Sox, to win the Central? They're 4.5 back right now, and Mike Piazza has cleared waivers. Is that a trade worth trying to make? Oh, and could the Dodgers please stop sucking? I don't like the idea of the Diamondbacks making the postseason. Imagine if they met the Astros in the NLCS: Generic White Guy Showdown. Quien es mas blanco: Conor Jackson or Lance Berkman? Eric Byrnes/Hunter Pence? Man i love watching the Twins right now. They were 9.5 games out last thursday i think it was, now just 4.5 and they still have a game with Cleveland tomorrow. And adding Piazza to this team would be great, having a real DH ,not the spotty at best performances of Kubel and Rondell

Bored Posted August 6, 2007 Report Posted August 6, 2007 was watching the game live and went absolutely bonkers =o) Easily the greatest pitcher of his generation ... the Warren Spahn of this era Its times like this where we Mets fans have to thank big Omar for giving us such a wonderful player and an amazing team Plus hearing him talk in the postgame was soo emotional ... there is no way he will leave in the offseason ... he will sign an extension and stay a met forever and win some titles !!! I cant wait to watch my mets when they come to philadelphia later this month ... me and my buddies got our tickets and gonna be there early trying to get autographs from the mets players
