Longdogger_Pete 0 Report post Posted August 18, 2007 I don't know who. Read in the paper this morning that Ellsbury was sent back down after game 2 last night, and Kielty will be activated today.
TheDevilAndGodAreRagingInsideMe 0 Report post Posted August 18, 2007 Jose Tabata’s season is over as he needs surgery on his right wrist. Peter Abraham Super outfield prospect who's 18 and has been mashing in A-ball.
Guest Soriano's Torn Quad Report post Posted August 18, 2007 White Sox extend Jermaine Dye; 2 years, $22 million, option for a third year at $12M. I think it's dumb. What do you think?
Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted August 18, 2007 I think it's alright, but I don't like the option unless it's the team's option.
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted August 18, 2007 Jose Tabata’s season is over as he needs surgery on his right wrist. Peter Abraham Super outfield prospect who's 18 and has been mashing in A-ball. He's slugging 9 points above the FSL average. Mashing is kind of a strong term. Assuming he makes it back though, he's the Yankees' #1 prospect (after Chamberlain exhausts his eligibility). White Sox extend Jermaine Dye; 2 years, $22 million, option for a third year at $12M. I think it's dumb. What do you think? The Sox can't afford to lose any more offense, they have little minor league depth and this isn't a long term commitment. Dye had a bad slump making his numbers look bad but he's been solid the last few months.
Guest Soriano's Torn Quad Report post Posted August 18, 2007 He seems too creaky to rely on for 2009, though.
Vampiro69 0 Report post Posted August 18, 2007 I think the Sox overpaid for Dye. I feel that he is worth no more then 2 years, 18 million. Even then I wouldn't be happy about the signing.
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted August 18, 2007 A quick note on Brandon Webb. He's the first pitcher to throw three straight shutouts since Roger Clemens in 1998.

Guest FaSho Report post Posted August 19, 2007 A quick note on Brandon Webb. He's the first pitcher to throw three straight shutouts since Roger Clemens in 1998. What's even more amazing is how the D-backs scored the 3rd least runs over the season and yet, in first place. The Nationals and Giants being 1 and 2 thus far. TheDevilAndGodAreRagingInsideMe 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2007 I was working and missed the game, but the box score says Farnsy threw an inning in a 5-2 game. NYYFans must have crashed.
devo 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2007 Billy Wagner saves another game and brings his ERA down to 1.50 in the process. He really is having a remarkable year, one of the best for a Mets reliever in the team's history. Jesse Orosco and John Franco had some damn good seasons. mike546 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2007 Isn't Garret Anderson labled as one of the "good guys" of the game? He faked out a five year old on giving him a ball at the end of the game. Asshole.
Vampiro69 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2007 What a game for Johan Santana against the Rangers today. 8IP 2H 0R 0ER 0BB 17K That now lowers his season ERA to 2.88.

Smartly Pretty 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2007 oh, alright. By the way, the mets carried the momentum against the dregs of the nl in 5-1 fashion. in case anyone was wondering. (we're almost at september, i've gotta start getting in we're-the-best-team-ever mode)
