Twisted Intestine 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2007 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCh2FXzD6R4 I know a few people like that. Maybe not to that extent, but pretty close. How can anyone acting like that actually believe that they are right? Like, fuck. Take a step back and look at yourself.

Guest Report post Posted August 25, 2007 I hate anti-religious people because they constantly need to shit on my parade when religion isn't anywhere near being a discussion point at the time. When I wear my cross (not often, I don't like to wear jewelry), it's a guarantee that I'm going to hear something anti-religious from someone. I don't push my religion on anyone, why do people have to push their anti-religiousness on me? It bugs me, but I ignore it and go about my day. (not for here, I'm talking in real life)

At Home 0 Report post Posted August 25, 2007 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HrwP5TaINAQ...ted&search= I love black people. I really do. I think this is why black people hate white people. Aside from the slavery thing too. But we use words like "unwelcome" and "insulted" and "hurts my feelings".

Jingus 0 Report post Posted August 25, 2007 And so can a circle, and a straight line, and a picture of the sun, and a picture of the moon, and pretty much any symbol that's ever been invented. She's just a fucking idiot. I agree with Koab hating generalizations and the human populace en masse. Where I used to live, there were a few travelling Mormon missionaries who'd just walk down the street handing out literature. I'd always hand back their pamphlet, tell 'em I already had a Book of Mormon back home sitting next to my Koran and Necronominicon, and then walk off humming the "Dum DUM Dum dum Dum" tune from that episode of South Park. The most annoying part was the people involved: two of them were the dorkiest white boys who ever wore a necktie, and the other two were obviously the two hottest girls they had in their local church, put out on the street in a manner not dissimilar from charity carwashes that always put the cheerleaders out front while hiding the ugly motherfuckers like me who actually did the washing in the back. Twisted Intestine 0 Report post Posted August 25, 2007 You are why people hate anti-religious people. Yeah...this lady is completely the norm for religious people. This is what I see every sunday at church. I didn't say I hate religious people. I said I hate religion. At the same time, I don't judge anyone for being religious, and I don't even think that their beliefs are wrong. I believe that one person's belief is just as right as the next persons. I know she's not the norm for religious people. I grew up in a christian family, and went to church, as well as catholic school, until I was 16. I hate religion because it turns alot of people into the woman in the video. Most religious folk also have the impression that anyone who isn't of their religion will go to hell. People like this are just taking it one step further. And hey, maybe their right. But personally, I don't like it. I've seen alot of prejudice come out of religion. You know what it feels like for your step mother to get pissed off and say "This shouldn't be on T.V! That's SICK!" Everytime Will and Grace comes on? Especially at a time in my life when I was experimenting with homosexuality. And why? Because it's against God.. Yeah, alright. People like that are why I, personally, dislike religion. I've seen it set up more boundries between people than do any good in my life. Though I do understand why some people are religious, and don't fault anyone for it. Unless they are the type like that, who I think are ignorant. So, because I dislike religion, People hate anti-religious people? Wow, I never knew my opinion was that powerful. Big Ol' Smitty 0 Report post Posted August 25, 2007 Personally, I'm offended by your insinuation that religion is what's wrong with the world and think people could do with a bit more religion in their lives, not less. The world has been separating itself from religion for decades, and what have we gotten? Skyrocketing crime rates, widespread abuse of mild altering substances, the erosion of the family unit, and basically a gentrification of society based on ethnicity, income, and world view. Religion could be used as a common bond to bind people from all cultural groups together.

Twisted Intestine 0 Report post Posted August 25, 2007 Would you like to explain why it's bullshit? Bullshit in what way, that I'm making everything up, or that everything I said is wrong? Anyways, I'm not going to get into a big religious debate, as I don't really care if people think it's wrong or right. I just don't like it, and that's it. And I didn't say religion is what's wrong with the world. I said religion sets up boundaries between many people, which it does. Sorry for naming the thread what I did, I should have just named it "crazy lady", as I only posted this because I almost pissed myself laughing when I saw it. I didn't post it to degrade anyone or insult their beliefs.

Skyrocketing crime rates, widespread abuse of mild altering substances, the erosion of the family unit, and basically a gentrification of society based on ethnicity, income, and world view. First of all, you're just describing America, not "the world". Turn on the news, and odds are right now they're talking about someone who murdered someone else over religion. Secondly, you're getting it wrong even in America. The crime rate is DOWN, way down from twenty or thirty years ago. I didn't say I hate religious people. I said I hate religion. Hate the sin, not the sinner, amirite? Well, except for people like Fred Phelps who mostly hate everyone who isn't them.
