Cartman 0 Report post Posted September 7, 2007 I think the Saints will still do very well this year, they just aren't going to beat the best teams in the AFC.
In Credible 0 Report post Posted September 7, 2007 Vikings v. Falcons Dud its the Love Boat vs the Replacements if anything Norwood will be the star of the game. Do you watch football? Did you see the Vikings run defense last year? It was the best in the NFL since like 19 Diggity Something.

Ripper 0 Report post Posted September 7, 2007 Well, I am going to go ahead and start my Falcons love for this year. i felt that with Vick they were had a chance to go deep in the playoffs this year now that they have a non retard as offensive coordinator but with Harrington under center, I am going to say maybe playoffs. Thats right. I know a few weeks ago I said that they wouldn't win 4 games, but I think they can be carried with the running game and Noorwoods and Dunns ability to catch the ball out of the back field. Hopefully. Cheech Tremendous 0 Report post Posted September 7, 2007 I don't think Atlanta will be any better or any worse with Harrington at QB than they would have been with Vick. That being said, they are probably a six or seven win team. I don't see them as contenders, but anything is possible in the NFC.

I know people don't like Vick and all, but comeon saying that he is on par with joey fucking Harrington is just plan wrong. Joey has a weaker arm, makes more mistakes and has never won at anything. But hey, he is my QB so go Joey go.
Guest Soriano's Torn Quad Report post Posted September 7, 2007 Well, if the Falcons win 7 with Harrington as you're predicting, Ripper, that's really not that far from Vick's 8-win seasons. I also think they'll just be middling.
Ripper 0 Report post Posted September 7, 2007 Vick won 8 with Greg Knapp at offensive coordinator. Harrington has Piterno. Not exactly the same caliber of offensive mind there. Come on, we aren't honestly going to sit here and say that Joey Harrington is just as good as a guy that has twice as many wins, and almost half as many interceptions in his career. I know not like Vick is the thing and all but come the fuck on guys.

They are both mediocre quarterbacks and I doubt that Atlanta would be competitive either way. EDIT: Czech beat me to it
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted September 7, 2007 Harrington was a pretty good QB in college, and has been stuck with some shit teams in the NFL. Look how much better Kitna got when he signed with the Bengals from the Seahawks, and how bad his stats have gotten again when going to the Lions. If he has Piterno at offensive coordinator now, along with a decent running game and some good receiving and whatnot, he might do better in Atlanta.
Ripper 0 Report post Posted September 7, 2007 Shitty teams didn't make him throw weak passes into crowds. I think that if he can cut down on the turnovers he will do okay. And while people keep saying that Vick had those 8 win season, people forget that in both years they came into the half way point with records of something like 6-2. Those teams fell apart with one part injuries taking their toll and one part the rest of the league saying "Wait a minute....they are running the same three plays over and over. And if you disquise a blitz, they will NEVER pick it up. Ever." Actually, I take that back, the first year was because Vick got all "I am a real QB no matter what the press says...watch this" and Mora, being Vicks bitch, let him do it. Thus screwing the offense. Last year it was Knapp and Mora just self destructing. And that offensive lineman (I want to say it was Matt Lehr) talking about how on alot of the successful passing plays, it was Vick pulling a Willie Beaman in the huddle and they would all just say that he called Knapps play. Thats kinda sad honestly. Where is Knapp the offensive coordinator again this year?
