JaMarcus Russell's #1 Caucasian Fan 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2007 I like this Patriots team for some reason. And I was an ardent Patriots hater for the longest time. Besides Brady, Moss and their defense this team has all the qualities of an "evil" team like the Yankees during their heyday and the Three-peat Lakers. They have an pompous, cranky, aloof asshole for a coach, a "pretty boy" Quaterback that has no qualms spreading his seed around, and a reciever who totally dogs it for two seasons and "miraculously" finds his game again. Not to metion they run up the score on everybody and think their players are expendable assets. On a more serious note, This team is probably the closest this generation will see to a domiant team. For me personally, I'm going to enjoy the Patriots as long as they keep doing what their doing because this is the first domiant team in the NFL I have ever witnessed (I was born in 1985, so I was too young to remember the 49ers and couldn't appreciate the Cowboys). I really hope that they go undeafeated or come close to it. I guess I'm just a sucker for witnessing and accepting greatness.
devo 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2007 What a depressing loss for the Jets today. Can't put more than three points on the freaking Bills. Jesus Christ.
Your Paragon of Virtue 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2007 The Bills defense is actually pretty decent, they just fold late. You didn't push them enough today so that didn't happen.
MFer 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2007 Honestly, I wouldn't be shocked if New England dominated Indy next week. Obviously not to the tune of 52-7, but you know that Belichick's gonna play up the fact that everyone is calling them cheaters and classless and that the Colts have played a tougher schedule and all that. Add the fact that Indy has won the last 3 meetings and are the defending Super Bowl champs, and that's even more motivation right there.
NYU 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2007 So um, can we stop that "Chad Pennington is the best chance for the Jets to win" nonsense now? The team is 1-7 and they only managed to scrape 3 points together today. Yes, yes, putting Kellen Clemens in as the starter is throwing in the towel. Okay, fine. Throw the towel in. There is no salvaging this season. Give Clemens some practice in a season-game context so he can come back a little more experienced next season. Just stop with Chad Pennington already -- his career as a Jet should be finished, as far as I'm concerned.

2GOLD 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2007 His career as a starting QB is finished as far as *I* am concerned. I gotta agree. I can't think of a team right now that would see him as a viable option as a starter. He might have a mildly decent career as a back-up like Vinny but as a starter, the ship has finally sailed. NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2007 Well what can I say, Redskins are beaten in every way possible today. I am still puzzled though by our coaches lack of adjustments of any sort whether it be the offensive scheme or the defensive scheme. I expected the Pats to score a bunch of points, however the way they were doing it was the worst way possible for a Skins fan to watch, by dinking and dunking, 5 yard routes that went for 15 yards a piece because there was no defender in the middle of the field. I understand getting burned by this type of offense for a quarter or so, but once it was apparent that a four-man rush was not going to get to Brady, why not do one of two things, either start sending extra defenders(blitzing) or switch it up and only use three down lineman, or even two for that matter, and clog the middle of the field with more linebackers, so when Brady throws a 3 yard pass, there is actually a defender to tackle the guy. Of course, the Pats probably would have adjusted and found some other way to murder the Skins anway..... On offense, it seemed like Gibbs had no interest in even trying to get the ball downfield. I understand when the game is 0-0, 0-7, or even 0-14, but once the Pats are up by three scores, it is time to stop the "run, run, screen pass to the sideline" BS offense. I can't figure it out. It is either Saunders calling these plays, or Gibbs just having no confidence in the personnel on offense, because this is NOT a Joe Gibbs offense. Anyways, Pats fans....Congrats. Man, and to think it was only 6 years ago, coming off a 41-0 playoff win over the Colts, that certain media members and fans were saying Chad was actually a better QB than Peyton Manning! Or that they'd take Pennington over Manning.

Ripper 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2007 You know what I like about Detroit? The team lost a couple, the players were like, "coach, hows about RUNNING the fucking ball every once and a while", and you know what they went out and did? Ran the goddamned ball. If only some coaches in my city would do the same.
Ripper 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2007 I also would like to add that while I was routing for Matt Shaub, the weekly updates on his games have now disappeared from the AJC as has his induction into the Hall of Fame by the local media. HOnestly speaking, Sage Rosenfels is looking alot better and will probably take over as starter before the season starts. Edit: Before the season ends. It obviously has already started. MFer 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2007 It seemed like Rosenfels was about ready to unseat Carr last year. He'll probably get his shot.

Exslade ZX 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2007 Seriously. What the fuck was that? > >? I don't even get what it's supposed to symbolize. Eyes don't work that way. Surprisingly, a random Yahoo search gave me this. http://www.chm.bris.ac.uk/pt/diamond/webca...shifty_look.jpg Eyes do work that way. The expression was essentially this. Without the angry face. USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2007 Back to the topic, what the hell are you guys smoking? Sage Rosenfels over Matt Schaub? WTF?
Ripper 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2007 I guess smoking reality. He has looked better. The knock on shaub before being drafted is that he will give you big passing numbers but makes horrible decisions in the red zone, and isn't going to get you in the endzone very often. Pretty much like whats going on now. And yes, injuries to his playmakers has a lot to do with it but they guy really does make bad decisions.
sfaJack 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2007 Sage Rosenfels was a free agent who got zero interest from all 32 teams as a starter for a reason. There is ZERO chance he will take over for Schaub. Hell, Schaub could barely walk going into the game against the Chargers yesterday and he STILL started over Sage.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2007 Let's not forget San Diego sort of just... gave up by the time Rosenfels came in, and Rosenfels still served up a pick.
