WWE General Discussion - November 2007

Recommended Posts

From wwe.com.....few matches announced for Smackdown this week....

Hardys v. Kennedy/MVP (this might be good)

Batista v. Henry

ECW will also have Kane/Mysterio v. Big Daddy V/Finlay tomorrow

Throw in Umaga v. HHH tonight and you have basically the gamut of everyone in the SS elimination match taken for account here this week for matches on TV.

Isn't it HHH vs Kennedy tonight?

Anyway:

--The deal on the Diva stuff disappearing from the WWE web site is apparently some sort of a transition. John Cerilli, who headed up the Diva section of the site left WWE to take an executive role at Marvel Comics.

Apparently it's been changed to Game/Umaga.

From PWInsider.com:

Apparently not only did Carlito lose twice in Puerto Rico (where he is said to be a huge star), but also WWE.com has put all of his merchandise on clearance.

Nice knowing you Carlito, good luck in TNA wrestling. Although a feud with him and Scott Hall could actually be interesting.

Having absolutely zero knowledge of PR wrestling, I do believe Carlito and Hall met for the title in Carlos Colon's promotion.

Well, uh... Heyman's keeping himself busy.

Heyman Hustle

Jim Ross said it best:

The best reality show never made was put Jim Cornette and Paul Heyman in a car with cameras, have them drive from one end of the country to another, and film the whole thing.

I'd watch every episode.

Toss in Vince Russo joining them by episode 4 and you've got a winner

Then it would become a true crime documentary.

If Cornette and Heyman agreed on one thing, it would probably be to kill Russo. :)

Wasnt the Divas site just a bunch of pics and videos like any other Superstar page?

Hmmm, when is this supposed to come out? That cover looks legit, you can even read some of the save us taglines are in the electric current.

Is WWE Magazine turning into a tabloid? Batista and Mysterio "detained by authorities" huh?

What with the departure of Brooke Adams, the Extreme Expose act appears to be through. Unless of course Adams is replaced by 2007 Diva Search winner Eve Torres, who has a dance background similar to Layla because she was a member of the Los Angeles Clippers dance team. If the group doesn't stay active, the belief is that Layla will likely be put on the chopping block. Layla & Kelly accompanied The Miz to matches at house shows last weekend, but on Tuesday's ECW show, it appeared they were broken up because they wrestled each other.

Although, the company word on Layla right now is that if Extreme Expose is broken up, Layla will be repackaged and given a new role in the company. But the problem is that many talents who are put on the repackaging list are usually never heard from again as they get released soon after. Vito's a good example of that. It's doubtful that repackaging Layla will be that big of a priority for the company.

Furthermore, Layla doesn't have a wrestling spot to fall back on in case the dance team got dropped because she was never given time on the road to practice her in-ring skills at house shows.

That Diva search sure turned out to be worthwhile, eh? /sarcasm

The Diva section is back with no apparent changes. They even have a Daily Diva archived for every day the section was offline. Just like it never left...

so now you can stop panicing over it and continue your normal fapping to the diva section at WWE.com YAY! (lol)

Thursday on WWE.com, Cade & Murdoch find out who they will be defending their titles against at Survivor Series.

I'll call for a fatal four way tag match, just because. Londrick, High Landers and likely Holly/Rhodes for no reason.

Yeah, pretty much what I was thinking. They wouldn't promote such a thing just to say "Kendrick and London again". I could see it being something way out there though, like Ric Flair and Roddy Piper making their big return (not necessarily those two, but something wacky like that).
