NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2007 Well it is being reported that Santana Moss is probable for Dallas, and supposedly Marcus Washington is playing too. I guess that should help a little. I would prefer the starters on the O-line to be back....lol.

CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2007 I like to think that the Broncos aren't as terrible as many people seem to believe. The only teams they've lost to so far this year have turned out to be pretty good, although they did get trashed by almost all of them, and they've beaten a few teams this year like the Steelers and the Bills who aren't throwaways, especially now that more people are putting the Steelers in the AFC title game (against the Pats, natch) the past couple weeks. They're not terrible, but they're also not very good. They can't stop the run, they don't have a legit receiving threat right now, and the QB situation is shaky with Cutler being banged up. If not for Jason Elam, the Broncos could be looking at 2-7 or even 1-8 right now.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2007 How is losing to San Diego embarrassing? They suck? Compared to the superpowered Patriots, sure, but compared to most of the AFC, not really. They're just inconsistent. Now the Chargers should be more embarrassed winning in that fashion than the Colts should losing like that.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted November 17, 2007 A majority of Green Bay's wins have been fairly close affairs Err.. they have? Sun 9/9 Philadelphia W 16-13 Sun 9/16 at NY Giants W 35-13 Sun 9/23 San Diego W 31-24 Sun 9/30 at Minnesota W 23-16 Sun 10/7 Chicago L 20-27 Sun 10/14 Washington W 17-14 bye Mon 10/29 at Denver W 19-13 Sun 11/4 at Kansas City W 33-22 Sun 11/11 Minnesota W 34-0 Only two of their wins was decided by 3 points or less, and I'd wager it's because both teams involved played a mostly defensive game. And Philly was never in the lead the whole game, nor was Denver. You as a Pats fan (well, particularly before this season) should know better than anybody- just because you're not blowing people out on a routine basis, doesn't mean you're not a dominant team. Before this year, I'd say (and this is just my opinion) the best and most dominant team this decade has been the 2004 Pats, and their games weren't the blowouts we're seeing today. They went 14-2 with only two real dominant wins (check it out) but for the most part just went and played an all around complete game, finish off any team in their way, and move on. KingPK 0 Report post Posted November 17, 2007 You have a point there. Admittedly I haven't watched many Packers games (just their primetime showings and whenever FOX gives me a game not involving the Giants), but I still think they are just a slight step below NE and Dallas in the elite of the league. I'm highly looking forward to the Packers/Cowboys matchup on NFL Network in a few weeks.
fazzle 0 Report post Posted November 18, 2007 Wow, if NFL.com is to be believed, the Vikings' very first play from scrimmage was a 79 yard WR pass from Sidney Rice, and then they got a TD on the next play. trickery on the first play? Sounds like it could be an interesting game. Edit: Wait. it's Minnesota/Oakland. What the hell was I thinking?

CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted November 18, 2007 Who's the head coach of Oakland anyway? He looks like some kid fresh out of college That's Lane Kiffin. He's 32. He was the offensive coordinator for USC for two years before taking the Raiders job.
JaMarcus Russell's #1 Caucasian Fan 0 Report post Posted November 18, 2007 Lane Kiffin who was co-offensive coordinator at USC. Never was a head coach, but hiring young guys out of college is a Raider MO from years past.

CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted November 18, 2007 Oh my God. Watch the highlights of the Cleveland/Baltimore game for the game-ending FG attempt. I have never seen anything like it. The ball hits the left upright, bounces through the uprights, off the back of the stantion, and back through the uprights the other way and into the end zone. EDIT: AND IT'S GOOD!!! They're going to OT now. The Ravens had already left for the locker room.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted November 18, 2007 Ive never seen anything like this before.. Dawson hits the back part of the crossbar post and it bounced out..they called it no good but its going to be called good to force OT The FG try wasnt reviewable, so why the fuck did they review it? The ravens got fucked over twice today on reviews (see the replay booth malfunction earlier) Unfuckingbelievable
CanadianGuitarist 0 Report post Posted November 18, 2007 The Ravens have tied it up at 27 with 3:31 to go. wow This is unreal. Ravens overcome a 13-point deficit going into the fourth. A two-play drive by the Browns put them in FG range - the attempt hit the leftside bar, bounced over more than half of the centre bar, going technically through the uprights, but backspun into the end zone. I've never ever seen anything like this.
Bored 0 Report post Posted November 18, 2007 What I can't understand is how is this supposedly not reviewable? It makes no sense if that's the rule that you can't review a field goal attempt. But I guess the referees are allowed to discuss it and reverse their call without review. And it's been reversed, overtime.
CanadianGuitarist 0 Report post Posted November 18, 2007 I didn't think I'd be the only one to post that. I'm sure Marvin saw it live, but this'll be all over SportsCentre tonight if any one missed it. I needed the Browns to win by 3.5 on my Pro Line, so I was asking for lightning to strike twice. CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted November 18, 2007 If that's actually the rule, that they can't review FG attempts, the competition committee needs to change it immediately. That's insane.
Exslade ZX 0 Report post Posted November 18, 2007 Definitely think they made the right call by calling it good though. That would have been BS if it wasn't, considering it did go through the uprights.
