NFL Week 14 - Dolphins? More like LOLphins! Amirite?

I see the Bears have put Grossman back in

That happened all the way back in the game against Oakland when Brian Griese suffered a "season-ending injury," conveniently requiring Rex to be our quarterback again. Brian tore his "don't take credit for the coaching staff's pure brilliance" muscle.

To Rex's credit, he hasn't been too awful after being reinstalled. I saw some stats somewhere that showed that the fumbled snap thing isn't so much a Rex problem as it is an Olin Kreutz problem. Either McNown, Matthews, Miller, Chandler, Burris, Hutchinson, Quinn, Krenzel, and Orton have all had trouble doing the most fundamental quarterback task in existence*, or maybe ol' Olin is better at breaking teammates' jaws than snapping footballs.

*This cannot be ruled out.

The Patriots have their own little thing on the ESPNEWS ticker

It goes NHL/NFL/PATRIOTS/NCAAF

COUGH COUGH Nice!!!

What have the results of Pats/Steelers been in recent years?

I know that Pats are 2-0 vs Pitts in AFC Championships since 01, and that Pittsburgh ended NE's 21 game winning streak.

Pats over Steelers in the first game at Gillette, to open the 02 season. Have they met any other times?

That Saints defense from 1991 featured what many people feel is the best LB core of all time.

Jackson/Mills/Johnson/Swilling were awesome.

The Pats were the ones to hand Roethlisberger his first career defeat in the 04 AFC title game.

Week 3 in '05, Pats win 23-20 in Pittsburgh. That was the game where Harrison and Light both had to be carted off the field due to leg injuries.

The Redskins defense has a habit of looking bad even though at the end of the game their statistics are pretty decent. A lot of it has to do with the offense turning the ball over on their side of the field a lot this season. Also, some key injuries to the secondary has made them into a block of swiss cheese.

He was for last week's, so I assume he is for this and coming weeks, but this is gonna be the game that he wins for the Redskins when he inspires them to victory.

Serious question here.

Does the rest of Taylor's contract count against the salary cap?

Probably not seeing there is no one to receive the money (yeah I know, the family, but the contract was written for Sean Taylor and him only I assume).

Not only is Sean Taylor going to inspire the Redskins, but he'll be inspiring the NFC Pro Bowl team as he currently leads all vote getters at his position.

He's about as likely to show up as any of the other winners. I mean, does anyone play in that thing anymore?

Belichick would've shot him in the head after sustaining the injury to clear up cap space.

Brian Griese is in? What happened? Better not say you called your own plays this time, Brian! They'll put Orton in!
