While I am glad Minnesota didn't give up without a fight, it was frustrating that they didn't actually start to play until the middle of the third quarter

Unfortunately now we're possibly a Cowboys third-string cameo away from the Sean Taylor Memorial Playoff Experience, not to mention three teams from the NFC Least for the second straight year

The NFC East is beastial.

9 carries for 27 yards.

Adrian Peterson is scary.

That's mindlessly fickle. How does one poor game negate the huge performances he's already shown himself capable of having throughout the year?

He's had a good season, but teams have realized he's the only chance of them winning so they stack the box.

Look at his stats.

103,66,102,112,224,63,70,296,45,116,3,78,27

Notice after the 296 they have dropped significantly.

NFC East is turning out to be a beast.

It doesn't at all, however it does show what happens when you go from being a "rookie sensation" into the guy that defenses are spending more then a week game-planning for, and also shows you really fast how other deficiencies in the offense will negate having a stud RB back there. I don't think anyone doubts AP's abilities, however until Jackson can win games with his arm any team with a defense worth a damn is going to game plan accordingly.

With all this said, it still kind of sucks that the Redskins have to beat Dallas to get in. They have given so many games away this season when they played just about as good as they did in tonight's game(for the first two and a half quarters), but couldn't seem to learn how to finish off a team until three weeks ago. But that is what happens when you are a team that is a "threatening to make noise"

The Redskins play a late game at home against Dallas, so I do believe that if by chance the Vikes & Saints lose before the Redskins' game kicks off, Washington is in regardless, but I am not absolutely sure.

So what would happen if and I mean if Seattle made it to the Superbowl again.

Dude. I think we should just worry about making it out of the first round and hoping for some upsets.

Anything after last season has to be a letdown, really.

I'm still confident New England bows out against Indy so it's been a pretty good year for me.

And what's so surprising about Seattle? Them making the SB would not shock me. They can't win in Lambeau but outside of that I don't see them being that inferior to any team in the NFC, especially if Morris and Alexander pick up the slack.

The Ravens were 4-12 in 1996 but at least they had the "used car sold at a dealership smell" and it was NFL Football back in Baltimore!

I'm a Pats fan too, Czech. I just rarely post in the sports forum cuz my teams get no respect 'round here!

Really?

Offensivly, Seattle can match up against Dallas, but their run offense is pathetic. Against Green Bay they just need to contain Farve like Chicago did.

But Seattle is on the road. The offense will probably get detained at the airport.

This almost defies logic: A potentially historic football game will get a record 62-hour TV lead-in this week — including a six-hour pregame show — and then most Americans won't be able to see it.

The NFL Network, the league's own channel, will formally announce Monday that it will air about 62 hours of coverage meant to gear up viewers for its New England Patriots-New York Giants game Saturday night. The coverage will include re-airing six Patriots games in their entirety — and re-airing most of those games at least twice. It will break the network's current record for preview hype — the 36 hours devoted to this season's Patriots-Indianapolis Colts showdown. A clock counting down the time to kickoff will pop up onscreen about 1,200 times this week. Says network spokesman Seth Palansky, "The plan is that this is essentially our Super Bowl."

And the Patriots, getting big TV ratings all season, might have drawn a massive audience as the team goes for the first undefeated NFL season since 1972.

But it won't. After spending months trying very publicly to get cable operators to pay a relatively high price to carry the channel — and demanding that operators not put it on pay tiers — the league is still in only about 43 million of the USA's 113 million TV households. Saturday's game will also be carried on over-the-air stations in Boston and New York.

The network has now offered to let operators carry the channel for no cost until Jan. 1. In return, operators would have to submit to third-party arbitration to negotiate carrying the network in the future. So far, Palansky said Sunday, no operator has volunteered.

And if operators can live without the Patriots' pursuit of perfection Saturday, the NFL isn't going to have much leverage left. No wonder Palansky suggests "we certainly want all the country to get this game."

I might watch it..but Im not gonna glue myself to the TV for 6 hours of hype and I cant imagine even the most die hard of Patriots fans would either..

This season's been decent. Only decent because the Jags are going to go 12-4 and not play a single home game.

We Packers fans are enjoying it, too.

I was tied going into tonight in my fantasy league with a chance to go to the championship on the line.

My opponent had no one left. I had Jay Cutler. That son of a bitch has gotten me -4 points already. He better not fuck this up for me.
