Kawalimus Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 Alright folks I would just like to ask, what can be done about these things? I hate these goddamn things. Especially when they run away. I have my cat here to help, but I don't know how long she will be around. So what can I do about them? Can I get rid of them somehow or do I just have to deal with em?

You shouldn't have kicked your cat in the face. It's angry now and won't get the centipede for you.
Retard Girl Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 1) open window 2) pick up said bug 3) drop it out the window 4) close window
Mr. S£im Citrus Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 You need to learn Toad Style. Centipede won't stand a chance.
Nighthawk Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 Nice post, Mr. Citrus. I have a terrible phobia of spiders. If I saw one, and it got away before I could kill it, I would leave the house and set off foggers in every room, see a couple movies, then search high and low until I found the body. This probably came from an incident when I was young when I was going to drink from a hose and a spider crawled into my mouth. I'm a little better now, after some hypnotic suggestion.
Dobbs 3K Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 I don't know if it's just coincidence, but we put sealant down on the floor of one of our basement rooms (you know, the paint-like stuff with the spackles you throw in it, that you can get at Menards and stuff), and it seemed to really reduce the amount of centipedes in the house. It's not like they hurt anything, though...they actually prey on other bugs and stuff. They certainly look nasty, though.
DrVenkman PhD Posted January 16, 2008 Report Posted January 16, 2008 I keep thinking those "Riddex" devices or whatever they're called I see advertised on TV might do the trick for me. Spiders creep me right out. One time I saw a scary looking dark black one walking around the ceiling - I went to get it but before I got anywhere close to it, it LEAPED (or possibly fell after a poor webbing attempt) to a table with crap that was set up out of the way in a corner, making an audible noise when it landed. I left the area immediately and hoped that it died on impact, but I certainly wasn't digging around to look.
DrVenkman PhD Posted January 16, 2008 Report Posted January 16, 2008 While I ain't afraid of no ghosts, I'm just not keen on spiders. The whole bug eyes thing really creeps me out.

I have one as well, so it was was great to see one crawl outside my window while I was driving. I just kept thinking, "Please don't crawl through the engine and at my feet." It was a huntsman, which are a dime a dozen here, but those legs of theirs still freak me right out.
Guest Tzar Lysergic Posted January 16, 2008 Report Posted January 16, 2008 I love spiders. I've even smoked one, but fuck a snake.
