DrVenkman PhD Posted February 18, 2008 Report Posted February 18, 2008 One night after No Way Out, Raw will be heading to sunny Anaheim, Calif. Unfortunately for Hornswoggle, he won't have much of a chance to work on his tan. Mr. McMahon arranged a Steel Cage Match with the little leprechaun after his bastard son — with help from a defiant Finlay — defeated him last week in a No Disqualification Match. This week, though, not even Finlay will be able to interrupt Mr. McMahon's lesson in tough love, leaving Hornswoggle to his own devices. Just how will the little guy fare one-on-one against his spiteful dad in the unforgiving confines of a steel cage? Will Mr. McMahon really unleash fury on Hornswoggle, or is he simply trying to scare his bastard son? Time to Play the Game at 'Mania The night after No Way Out also sees Randy Orton return as WWE Champion. The "Legend Killer" actually lost his title match to John Cena by disqualification after purposefully slapping the referee across the face. The tactic, however cowardly, allows Orton to retain the gold since a title change can only occur as a result of a pinfall or submission. Will "The Champ" retaliate against Orton for robbing him of an opportunity at the main event at WrestleMania XXIV? And what's next for Cena, now that he is out of the WrestleMania main event? However, one Superstar who is WrestleMania-bound and has Orton in his crosshairs is Triple H. The King of Kings outlasted five fierce competitors to prevail inside the Elimination Chamber at No Way Out and earn a spot in the main event at WrestleMania XXIV. He left in his wake five battered and bloodied Superstars: JBL, Umaga, Chris Jericho, Shawn Michaels and Jeff Hardy. Will The Game have anything to say about his return to WrestleMania and his Chamber victory? Money in the Bank, Hall of Fame, Playboy and 'Pretty Boy' Raw will also feature a pair of firsts. The first Money in the Bank Qualifying Match for WrestleMania XXIV will be held at the Honda Center, as well as the announcement of the first member of the 2008 WWE Hall of Fame class, to be inducted March 29 in Orlando, Fla. There's also the matter of Santino Marella's ultimatum. Last week, he gave his "girlfriend" Maria until this Monday night to choose between him or posing for Playboy. What exactly will the beautiful Diva decide? And finally, after his controversial appearance at No Way Out, WBC welterweight champion "Pretty Boy" Floyd Mayweather will be at Raw tonight in Anaheim. The only way to find out the answers to these questions and more is to tune in to Raw, live on USA Network at 9/8 CT. So all this Hornswoggle vs. McMahon stuff is leading to a Finlay match at Mania, right? As for the Hall of Fame, yeah, it's not exactly the most legit hall in pro wrestling, but I enjoy the video packages and such for inductees. This also confirms Money in the Bank IV, if there was ever a doubt.
SpikeFayeJettEdBebop Posted February 18, 2008 Report Posted February 18, 2008 tonight I will be watching Raw for the first time in about 10 years. ill post back with my thoughts
Scroby Posted February 18, 2008 Report Posted February 18, 2008 Yes for the Hall of Fame coming back, I don't care if anyone says "well it's not really a legit Hall of fame", it's a pretty big fucking deal and I'm looking forward to it. It's one of my favorite things about the WWE nowadays.
DrVenkman PhD Posted February 19, 2008 Author Report Posted February 19, 2008 The ceremony is always very good and they appear to be having a blast.
Conspiracy_Victim Posted February 19, 2008 Report Posted February 19, 2008 HHH/Orton promo wars for the next 6 weeks. Be still my beating heart. Edit: I don't say this very often, but thank you Cena for interrupting that. Good God was that a road to nowhere.
Conspiracy_Victim Posted February 19, 2008 Report Posted February 19, 2008 The shirt! Yeah that shirt is pretty awesome. Old skool in da hizzie and all that.
Epic Reine Posted February 19, 2008 Report Posted February 19, 2008 Regal by far has the best hair in wrestling today, not since Kevin Nash have we had hair like that.
randomguy Posted February 19, 2008 Report Posted February 19, 2008 I like how Regal pronounces it "Triple Heche."
MarvinisaLunatic Posted February 19, 2008 Report Posted February 19, 2008 HHH screws Cena out of a shot?
The Truthiness Posted February 19, 2008 Report Posted February 19, 2008 Triple H is the only guy in that segment that made sense.
Quit Calling My Mama Posted February 19, 2008 Report Posted February 19, 2008 HHH screws Cena out of a shot? Nah, he'll relunctantly count the 3, then pedigree Cena after raising his hand.
DMann2003 Posted February 19, 2008 Report Posted February 19, 2008 That's not a bad storyline match set-up there, I'm impressed, a lot better than just, Cena you get into the main event automatically and make it triple-threat.
DMann2003 Posted February 19, 2008 Report Posted February 19, 2008 Bout time Jeff got his own new theme
The Truthiness Posted February 19, 2008 Report Posted February 19, 2008 Changing Jeff Hardy's music is a pretty creative way too kill his heat.
Crippler Crossface Posted February 19, 2008 Report Posted February 19, 2008 Damn, they're just trying to make people hate Hardy, aren't they?
Conspiracy_Victim Posted February 19, 2008 Report Posted February 19, 2008 When did Jeff get the new music? Last night?
Exslade ZX Posted February 19, 2008 Report Posted February 19, 2008 Hardy's music is bad Hopefully it's like Booker T's 'Can you dig it' Anthology song or whatever, where he just used it for a while, promoting this new CD coming up. Because I just don't picture that working well with Hardy.
JPopStarKami Posted February 19, 2008 Report Posted February 19, 2008 What's with the new music hate? He needed his own theme song, Matt already has his.
LooseCannon25 Posted February 19, 2008 Report Posted February 19, 2008 That new music is pretty terrible. I thought it's time to get a new song for Jeff, but this new one sucks.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted February 19, 2008 Report Posted February 19, 2008 Im pretty sure his music was changed cause its on the CD thats coming out next month..
skullman80 Posted February 19, 2008 Report Posted February 19, 2008 What's with the new music hate? He needed his own theme song, Matt already has his. I hate it because it's terrible.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted February 19, 2008 Report Posted February 19, 2008 What's with the new music hate? He needed his own theme song, Matt already has his. Hes had his for 5 years...back to the days of Mattitude and Matt Facts!
Crippler Crossface Posted February 19, 2008 Report Posted February 19, 2008 What's with the new music hate? He needed his own theme song, Matt already has his. Yeah... but could they have picked something that doesn't suck at least?
Exslade ZX Posted February 19, 2008 Report Posted February 19, 2008 What's with the new music hate? He needed his own theme song, Matt already has his. Exactly. Matt having his own, meant that essentially, the 'Hardyz' music was Jeff's.
