alfdogg 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2008 Pacers have a great chance to regain some ground on the 8th spot this week. The Nets, Hawks, and Bulls have tough games this week, while we have three winnable games at home. I may be able to forgive a loss on Saturday, but if we can't beat the Knicks, Bobcats and Wolves at home, then we don't deserve to make the playoffs.
Mr. S£im Citrus 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2008 You won't beat the Bobcats. You might not beat the Timberwolves, either.
Guest Report post Posted March 16, 2008 Pau is gonna miss the rest of the road trip and come back against Seattle...that fuckin' sucks.
Mr. S£im Citrus 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2008 Son of a bitch, who's watching this SEA/DEN game?
naiwf 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2008 WOW, 168 points. They could have probably broken 190 if they'd left the starters in.
Mr. S£im Citrus 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2008 I say, goddamn. How'd you like to score a 116 points and lose by fiddy?
naiwf 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2008 No one played more than 26 minutes, 'Melo had 26, AI 24, Martin 23, Camby got a triple double in 23 minutes (13-15-10), JR Smith had 19 in 19 minutes and Chucky Atkins went for 19 in 18 minutes. The Nuggets BENCH went for 74 in roughly a half, so that may be the most embarassing defensive effort ever.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2008 Tinsley and Daniels had their charges dropped today from the bar fight, in exchange for 32 hours of community service and "staying out of trouble" for two years.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2008 (edited) It's really kind of a shame that some people still take the time to bash Mike Dunleavy's contract, yet completely ignore the career year he's having to back it up. Five 30-point games in the last month, counting tonight. I'm glad that Jim O'Brien finally came to his senses, if only for one night, and gave most of David Harrison's minutes to Ike Diogu. Harrison has been contributing nothing out there, almost literally. Of course, the Pacers are getting no help from the Hornets or Wizards right now. But at least we did our part, for once. EDIT: The Hornets came back and beat the Bulls, so we did gain a game on them. But, fuck Washington. Edited March 18, 2008 by alfdogg
Rendclaw 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2008 Tinsley and Daniels had their charges dropped today from the bar fight, in exchange for 32 hours of community service and "staying out of trouble" for two years. I wish them luck with that, because I will be shocked if they get through those two years unscathed. The community service is literally nothing... Charles Barkley is right, rich people don't go to jail.
Boon 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2008 Spurs/Celtics was one of the most fun games to watch this season.
Mr. S£im Citrus 0 Report post Posted March 19, 2008 If you played a drinking game where you took a shot every time Barkley said "first of all," you'd die of alcohol poisoning before halftime...

Guest Report post Posted March 19, 2008 Sure is. How dare he miss that game-winning three, and get killed on the offensive glass by Lamar Odom all game. Houston's streak is going to end.

Rendclaw 0 Report post Posted March 19, 2008 I say, goddamn. How'd you like to score a 116 points and lose by fiddy? I dunno, just like the same team scored 120 and lost by 16.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2008 Well, the Pacers tried valiantly to throw this one away down the stretch, but pull it out in the end despite Danny Granger being a late scratch. Big fourth quarter for Shawne Williams, including a nice dunk over Jared Dudley. Jermaine O'Neal also returned to practice today. Things are starting to look up. Krankor 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2008 The Miami Heat lost by 42 points tonight against the Raptors. The final score was 96 to 54. The Heat shot 26% from the field. 54 points in a game is third lowest in NBA history. Fucking terrible.
Boon 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2008 Celtics become the first team to sweep the Texas Triangle (3-0) since 2001 and the first to go 6-0 since 2000. Game got pretty chippy at times. Jason Kidd still just doesn't look comfortable with the Mavs, shooting 1-8 from the field.
Guest Report post Posted March 21, 2008 First Utah fans booed Derek Fisher in the Lakers first trip to the Delta Center, and then during this game towards the end, one of them throws a bottle at Kobe after a breakaway dunk. Absolutely no class. But hey, we're all alone in first again. Even with Gasol out for this little run and Bynum being out for 2-3 more weeks, the schedule is so favorable that I'd be stunned if the Lakers didn't finish first or second. Maztinho 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2008 We booed Karl Malone when he wasn't in a Jazz jersey. KARL. FUCKING. MALONE! It the only game in town so people get crazy, like... retarded crazy.

We dont throw bottles at anyone in Portland, they don't throw bottles in Sacramento. In Portland it's because they're too classy, in Sacramento because methamphetamines have robbed Sacramento's people of their ability to throw a bottle, but STILL. We don't throw bottles. I think it's all that pent-up Mormon rage.
Guest Report post Posted March 21, 2008 I like that all this quality, playoff level basketball is being played out on this coast, but...it kinda makes the East look like a JV league. Hell, the only time you get any excitement from the Eastern teams is when Detroit or Boston plays the West. Boston and Detroit are probably the only Eastern Conference teams that could beat one of the top 9 in the West during a 7 game series, and that's fuckin' sad. I think it's all that pent-up Mormon rage. Actually, I honestly think that Utah fans have this intense loyalty issue. It's hard to describe unless you've been around it, I'm sure we all have that one friend who is sort of borderline insane and wants crazy things to happen to opposing team members, or for a guy who signs with another team to break his leg. Well the whole state is like that. You could stop 10 people on the street and ask them to name the NBA player they dislike the most and Kobe Bryant would come up 9 times... easy. Because he reminds them of Micheal Jordan and his heart ripping destruction of the beloved Jazz. Utah fans clamor for what are considered character guys, guys who think team first, and not to treat their jobs as... a job. Kobe Bryant does what's best for Kobe, the people round here say, and that angers people. It's a ridiculous, stupid thing, but people get red in the face talking about it. Also, it's not pent up Mormon rage, most of the real whack jobs are what I call Assimilated Hillbillies. They are white trash, but they have a job that makes enough money to put them in middle to upper-middle class, they are the dangerous ones. Mormons just do stupid shit like wanting to name all the sports teams in the state with ZZ endings. Pioneerzz? Get the fuck out.
Jorge Gorgeous 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2008 Haha, Latter Day Saintzz. Yeah, honestly, I know almost nothing about Utah apart from Jazz crowds, Big Love and SLC Punk. As a Blazer fan I hate (you know, that begrudging respect kind of hate) the Jazz more than any other team in the west. Everyone tells me I'm supposed to hate the Lakers, but the Rip City Blazers never ran afoul of the Lakers.

Buzz (Beehive State) and for awhile they actually contemplated having our Arena Football team be the Blazze... fortunately they just called it the Blaze. Oh, and I've never liked the Blazers either... (whips out his switchblade comb) and now we fight. In a begrudging respect kind of hate. Side tangent, where I live you can go to Wal-Mart and watch the "Compound Polygamists" shop. True story.
