But Austin was two things: 1. The top star in the company and 2. The guy people were rooting for going in and all match long.

Orton...was treated as an afterthought in the buildup to the match and well...there's actually probably more people rooting for him than Cena.

There were people still rooting for Rock not every city in the leadup to that was pro-Austin..obviously the Astrodome crowd was..you seriously cant think all the marks at home were ALL like "yes I love that my hero Austin is now with Vince"

regardless of whether it worked or not they wrote it as an unhappy ending

and yes a bunch of the crowd might want Orton over Cena lol

HAHAHAHAH

The lights go out.

A literal dark match

With the way this event has gone, very fitting indeed

Aside, of course, for the Flair-Michaels match that everyone expected to be good.

That alone will save it from eclipsing Wrestlemania 9

Yeah, that and the unreal Money in the Bank match.

I'm really hoping Orton retains.

Worst. Entrance. Ever.

HHH's enterance at Mania 22 Says "not so fast"

Compared to "Gangsta' Cena"?

I think not..

WAY worse than Gangsta Cena. Whatever they were going for with HHH's Thor enterance missed its mark completely.

p.s. why did they do big crazy over the top Hollywood style entrances a year AFTER wrestlemania in Hollywood? :)

To quote Meltzer "...the weakest of these Mania ladder matches in history..."

They going to do another WM triple threat rematch @ Backlash?

Wouldn't surprise me.

Or maybe do something like Cena vs Triple at Backlash, with Orton defending against the winner the same night.

I disagree with Meltzer- it was much better than MITB 2, which I've never gotten into.

I wanted Cena to win, but that was an awesome finish.

Here comes the trainwreck

So I guess Punk will be going to Raw for an eventual showdown with Orton?

Once again, Punk has an entire year to do something with this. It'd be just as well to save it.
