Thanks for the Fish 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2008 Ric Flair retirement ceremony is scheduled, Tully, JJ, Arn, Windham are all there, Malenko is obviously available as well. Will they just do the classy thing and have the ceremony go off unhitched, or will they use it to set-up an angle, maybe by having somebody crash it? With Flair really retired and intent on being out of the ring for awhile (before working an Austin/Foley schedule) there really isn't too much you could do angle wise. Enigma 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2008 Wow, JJ Dillion is there? I guess if I can believe Bischoff working for WWE, I can believe Dillon coming back for one night. Where's Ole?
Diamonddust 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2008 Wow, JJ Dillion is there? I guess if I can believe Bischoff working for WWE, I can believe Dillon coming back for one night. Where's Ole? Ole's still bitter about something, which is why he wasn't on the Horsemen DVD. Even though Ole was an original member, I'm guessing many people will agree that the Flair/Anderson/Blanchard/Windham combination was probably the best Horsemen group. ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2008 The one sad thing about this: Sting's still in TNA. Could you imagine the mark-out moment if Ric Flair and Sting were once again in the same ring together, even if it was just to say goodbye to Flair?
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2008 This is bringing back memories of that special Nitro in 1998 when Ric Flair returned.

Could you imagine the mark-out moment if Ric Flair and Sting were once again in the same ring together, even if it was just to say goodbye to Flair? Sting made his choice. Thanks for the Fish 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2008 needs Steamboat and Harley Race Good call. Harley was at the HOF ceremony. Steamboat will of course be there as a roadie.
dubq 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2008 Funk would be a nice addition too. That was always one of my favourite Flair feuds..
Diamonddust 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2008 needs Steamboat and Harley Race On WWE.com, they have video of Flair returning to the dressing room/tent area after the match, and the first person shown embracing Flair in the video is Steamboat. He'll be at the ceremony tonight (Considering he's an agent and is at the arena), and well, Harley was in town for the Hall of Fame so there is a possibility he'll be there as well. Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2008 Funk would be a nice addition too. That was always one of my favourite Flair feuds.. There's a great deal of people that had a good history with Flair, you couldn't have everyone there or it'd just be a two hour segment (which wouldn't be a bad thing). Funk probably wouldn't make that trip anyways. It's in Florida, however. I'd like to think many old timers could appear since many were at the HOF anyways. Thanks for the Fish 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2008 I wonder if this was the reason why all brands were told to be at the tapings, and not setting up for the draft.
sluggo 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2008 the draft would be on the 3 hour Raw on the 21st
Perfection 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2008 I wonder if this was the reason why all brands were told to be at the tapings, and not setting up for the draft. If they have everyone come out to solute flair, wow is that going to be a hell of an emotional moment.
DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2008 While they should keep the names of surprise people secret (and Meltzer's daily update indicates there are more than just Tully and Dillon as surprises), this is the sort of segment WWE.com should be heavily advertising. Cheech Tremendous 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2008 I don't get why this would be a spoiler. It's obvious that they will do something for Flair tonight and the inclusion of Arn/Tully/Windham is something that should be advertised. The type of fans who care about tradition and nostalgia and all that jazz probably need to know those guys will be there before they tune in.

DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2008 Ross mentioned it in his blog now too so obviously it's not 'top secret' (though it couldn't have been to begin with if PWInsider knew about it at 2pm).
Dandy 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2008 It's not a spoiler if it hasn't happened yet. What? Obviously if they plan something, it would be a spoiler. I'm not just talking about this instance, but anything in general.
