When Undertaker defeated Edge at WrestleMania XXIV, he not only won the World Heavyweight Championship, he also lengthened his already-incredible WrestleMania winning streak to 16-0. But The Deadman won’t rest now that he has the Championship, because the man he won it from is none other than the Ultimate Opportunist, Edge, who gave Undertaker more than his fair share of trouble in their title bout. If The Phenom wants to keep the former champion at bay, he will have to keep close watch on the entire Rated-R entourage, including cohorts Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder, and fiancée, SmackDown General Manger Vickie Guerrero. Will the Rated-R Superstar have anything to say about his downfall this week on SmackDown?After losing a Career Threatening Match to Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania XXIV, 2008 Hall of Famer Ric Flair made an appearance on Raw for a Farewell Address, where family and Superstars of past and present paid tribute to the “Nature Boy.” WWE.com has learned that HBK will visit Friday Night SmackDown to offer his thoughts on what went down in Orlando, Fla. At WrestleMania XXIV, our fans witnessed a surprise return from Matt Hardy, who ruined United States Champion Montel Vontavious Porter’s hopes in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Matt Hardy hasn’t seen ring time for months after undergoing an emergency appendectomy, but had no problem taking out his rival with a Twist of Fate. With Hardy back, he’s already been slated for action against MVP in a non-title bout this Friday on SmackDown. Will Hardy dish out more of the same punishment? Or will the angry champion make Hardy pay the price for spoiling his chance for victory and the coveted championship contract?

 

It was The Largest Athlete in the World vs. The Greatest Fighter in the World at WrestleMania XXIV, and Floyd “Money” Mayweather proved size isn’t everything as he knocked Big Show out for the count with a set of brass knuckles. Now that he’s been felled in this David and Goliath tale, what’s next for the 7-footer?

 

The winner of the SmackDown Diva Contest will also be decided this Friday. Cherry or Michelle McCool will walk away with bragging rights and a new Beverly Hills Chopper. Which lovely Diva will ride away a winner, the sweet ‘n shy Cherry or All-American Girl McCool?

 

Pulling out a big win for SmackDown at WrestleMania XXIV, Batista defeated Raw’s Umaga in the Battle for Brand Supremacy. SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero initiated this challenge with Raw General Manager William Regal, and it panned out for her and Batista. But will it be long before Regal comes knocking with an even more devastating opponent?

This might seem like a far-fetched match but in the interest of extending each program, but would anyone else like to see a double title match between Undertaker/Kane against Chavo/Edge at Backlash? Perhaps, even putting the tag titles on The Guerrero Family. I like M2M as champions but that doesn't mean they would have to split as a team as a result.

That match had a pretty good build, they started off just trading arm locks, than they just started beating the shit out of eachother. The ending was pretty good.

Yes, it was very well done. WWE are clearly going to paint Batista as the heel, even though he had some valid points. The fact that the segment had a shoot vibe gave it extra credibility.

 

Oh yeah, that fan screaming was annoying as hell. What made it worse was that he was so clearly audible, almost as if his voice was isolated by the sound guys.

It would've been nice for them to play up this "mystery woman." If I hadn't read the spoilers, I would've thought it was some random diva already on the roster who looks like every other diva.
