Looks good.

I just hope today's youth weren't soured on this due to the shit-tastic remake of "The Fog" even though it is completely different from this, I am afraid some people will see the "mist" and not be able to decipher....

This was one of my favorite short stories from Stephen King, and that's saying an awful lot.

I really hope they keep the same ending, but I somehow doubt they will.

I'll pretty much see anything with Andre Braugher in it, but I'd still give this a chance even if he wasn't in this.

Agreed on both counts.

Although I dunno about the original ending. Never made much sense to me. Hero thinks he might have heard a single word over the radio (and it makes it pretty damn clear that he might not have really heard shit), and that's supposed to give us hope?

just got done watching this. The girl I went with was all freaked out even more because it is nothing but Mist out right now (thus making it a bitch to drive). Good movie with an extremely fucked up ending. I'm a Thomas Jane mark though so almost anything he's in is gold to me.

This movie was a complete waste of time. Avoid it unless you like watching shitty movies.

And iirc, you also said Shoot 'Em Up was the worst action movie you'd ever seen. So, Douche, would you mind listing all the other movies you fucking hated? Because with the current track record, I'm gonna go out of my way to catch any on that list that I haven't seen already.

I stand by my statement of Shoot 'Em Up being the SHITTIEST film of 2007. The Mist is close behind.

This movie was quite good.

Yes, if we're going by the Shitacular scale.

I saw it last night. Pretty damn good stuff overall.

Also, I hope you guys remember that Douchebag also said that The Grudge II was one of the most terrifying movies he's ever seen. So his opinion on movies (particularly horror movies) is worthless.

Also, Planet Terror? Jesus Christ...

Oddly enough, on that one I agree with him (ever cared for most of Rodriguez's work besides Sin City and El Mariachi). Hannibal Rising also did thoroughly slob the knob. Haven't seen or wanted to see most of the others. Slight rephrasing: got a list of movies older than a year or two?

Including absolutely barf-inducing gore effects, especially in the hospital scenes, which were so gross that it just turned me off. And using Osama Bin Ladin as backstory for a B horror movie really disturbed me, there was no justification for going there. And having Rose McGowan play a stripper but never get naked, that's some sort of blasphemy. Also, like I said, 90% of the time I don't like pretty much any movies Robert Rodriguez does.

She was a go-go dancer.

I loved the gore effects in Planet Terror. They were so over the top that it reminded me of cheesy 80's horror films like Street Trash with really goofy and disgusting gore. Only part I didn't like was Quentin's lame cameo that felt tacked on. That and Number 23 (Sue Me, I got some enjoyment out of it) were the only ones on Douche's list I like.

I'll probably be seeing The Mist soon.

I liked Planet Terror over Death Proof, where you had to snooze through an hour of dialogue before anything remotely interesting happened.

Death Proof was the better film, but that's me.

I stand by that statement too. Having not spoiled myself for the movie, the jump scenes and the creepiness factor played off and the Grudge sequel actually proved to be superior than the not-so-good remake of the previous installment. It was a lot better than that piece of shit Texas Chainsaw Massacre prequel (only good part of that movie was R. Lee Ermey)

Lots of people said that, but I liked the dialogue. That is, I was entertained by watching those scenes, and wasn't just sitting there going "arrgh, when's the damn car chase gonna start".

That statement can be accurately said about damn near any movie not named Texas Chainsaw Massacre 4: The Next Generation.

Saw the Mist tonight. Thought it was pretty good. Loved some of the Lovecraftian imagery throughout it. The one downside for me was Marcia Gay Hardin's character. Total X-Pac heat - for me, at least.
