Hardy wins, I thought for sure there was going to be a last minute near fall there at the end. Not a bad match, I liked how it built with a new guy coming out every five minutes and the match changing up a bit because of it everytime. So far so good on the new concept working for me. Poor Miz had a hell of a hardway blood loss, and didn't even get a few minutes worth of being interim champion, as everyone got a pinfall except him.

How aprapro (sp?) is it, though, that Matt Hardy wins his first major singles championship OPENING a ppv.

Interesting. I wanted Hardy to win, but was thinking that Henry would steal it from Matt last minute to extend the feud to one more "face chase" PPV match-up. Guess it was more important to establish the match style and make the other titles seem threatened. Although it is the ECW belt, seems weird that Matt has now held a higher title than Jeff. Now as long as HHH drops and Punk retains, this could all be very positive.

He won the US Title?

I meant a major singles title (RAW, SD, or ECW world title), not that prop that never goes anywhere in the big scheme of things.

The US Title has been more valued then the ECW Title in recent months, by far.

Whatever the opinion is of the US title personally, "major singles championship" doesn't mean the US title, in comparison to the big three belts. Keyword, major.

You can't possibly include the ECW Title. It regularly opens PPV's and gets the shortest amount of time devoted to it. The ECW Title is a mid-card title, slightly above the IC title at the moment, which IS a prop right now.

Which is ironic in itself that Hardy won it, since it's most definately the most devalued of the big three belts. And like I said, in the opening match even. It's as "oh yay" type of title victories you can get. Very insignificant.

IE Hardy is, in essense, a prop in the big scheme of things. He'll never really get that significant role in the company, ya know, the one Jeff keeps teeter-tattering around.

Doesn't mean ECW title either, but hey, let's move on.

I never said the ECW title was something special either. I just said in WWE land, that belt is supposed to be in the same prestige as the Raw and SD titles (ie "major titles"), I was just speaking in a different context. It's just one of those wacky WWE "facts" about how they want us to think.

So who the fuck is the new guy with Priceless? He looks like a bad version of Umaga mixed with Ricky Ortiz.

Is he any good? Never seen him work.

Afa Jr. doesn't fit with the group unless he's not playing the wild savage. Joe Hennig would have worked much better. Afa Jr was also the developmental who got caught with the fake penis wizzinator to beat the drug testing. All the wwe vets who now have to piss in a cup facing the tester with their pants around their knees and shirt up by their chest can make sure to thank him.
