The Ghost of bps21 Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 One new champion crowned. I gotta believe that HHH is going down next.

Matt Young Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 It says, "Not Broadcasting". says that to me too yet im watching it live It doesn't work for me in any browser. everyone in the chat is saying it doesn't, either.
RedJed Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 Hardy wins, I thought for sure there was going to be a last minute near fall there at the end. Not a bad match, I liked how it built with a new guy coming out every five minutes and the match changing up a bit because of it everytime. So far so good on the new concept working for me. Poor Miz had a hell of a hardway blood loss, and didn't even get a few minutes worth of being interim champion, as everyone got a pinfall except him. How aprapro (sp?) is it, though, that Matt Hardy wins his first major singles championship OPENING a ppv.
converge241 Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 even though i dont like the concept per se the final minute/90 seconds was very exciting Matt kept trying to throw everyone out to keep them from getting pinned so some strategy was applied
converge241 Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 nice split screen on Punk/HHH about them being nervous after 1 title changed..nice touch of course wrestling booking philosiphy wise that probably means they will both retain..

heyguesswhatidid Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 http://www.blogtv.com/People/Da1LvnCboy Kinda choppy, but better than nothing.
The Truthiness Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 How aprapro (sp?) is it, though, that Matt Hardy wins his first major singles championship OPENING a ppv. He won the US Title?
LivingLegendGaryColeman Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 Interesting. I wanted Hardy to win, but was thinking that Henry would steal it from Matt last minute to extend the feud to one more "face chase" PPV match-up. Guess it was more important to establish the match style and make the other titles seem threatened. Although it is the ECW belt, seems weird that Matt has now held a higher title than Jeff. Now as long as HHH drops and Punk retains, this could all be very positive.
RedJed Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 How aprapro (sp?) is it, though, that Matt Hardy wins his first major singles championship OPENING a ppv. He won the US Title? I meant a major singles title (RAW, SD, or ECW world title), not that prop that never goes anywhere in the big scheme of things.

The US Title has been more valued then the ECW Title in recent months, by far.

Whatever the opinion is of the US title personally, "major singles championship" doesn't mean the US title, in comparison to the big three belts. Keyword, major.

You can't possibly include the ECW Title. It regularly opens PPV's and gets the shortest amount of time devoted to it. The ECW Title is a mid-card title, slightly above the IC title at the moment, which IS a prop right now.

Which is ironic in itself that Hardy won it, since it's most definately the most devalued of the big three belts. And like I said, in the opening match even. It's as "oh yay" type of title victories you can get. Very insignificant. IE Hardy is, in essense, a prop in the big scheme of things. He'll never really get that significant role in the company, ya know, the one Jeff keeps teeter-tattering around.

The Tino Standard Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 I can't get that streamtown feed to last more than 3 or 4 seconds without buffering.

I just said in WWE land, that belt is supposed to be in the same prestige as the Raw and SD titles (ie "major titles"), I was just speaking in a different context. It's just one of those wacky WWE "facts" about how they want us to think. So who the fuck is the new guy with Priceless? He looks like a bad version of Umaga mixed with Ricky Ortiz.

RedJed Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 Wow, so they are doing Jericho/Michaels already, I'm definately still calling a non-finish here of some sorts. No way is it the blowoff.
milliondollarchamp Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 http://www.ustream.tv/channel/156374 works but no sound
NyqZoo Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 Whoops, stream I posted was wrong, my bad.
Thanks for the Fish Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 Afa Jr. doesn't fit with the group unless he's not playing the wild savage. Joe Hennig would have worked much better. Afa Jr was also the developmental who got caught with the fake penis wizzinator to beat the drug testing. All the wwe vets who now have to piss in a cup facing the tester with their pants around their knees and shirt up by their chest can make sure to thank him.
Hawk 34 Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 I thought DH Smith or Eddie Colon would've joined before Afa Jr. Afa doesn't really fit the group.
slimm44 Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 Was that Shelton Benjamin's mama in the crowd?
MillenniumMan831 Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 Anyone else think Jericho will sue WWE and Michaels claiming that the damage done to his eye came after the bell thus the hold harmless letter he signed would be void?
