OK, I personally haven't seen anything about this, but I was talking with a friend last night and he said that he came across some news (both on a message board and some fringe site) that reported that Jeff was sent home from the airport, which means this is his 3rd strike.

My friend isn't the kind to make stuff up, but since it was a board and fringe site (can't recall the name) on which he said he found it (and he was clear to present it as a rumor), I'm taking it with a grain of salt. I haven't seen anything on any of the major sites, but nevertheless, has anyone heard anything about this?

It honestly deserves it's own thread so might as well keep the discussion here.

Maybe he wasn't holding anything, maybe he just got really drunk and the airport wouldn't let him fly and he get upset about that and the airport security kicked him out of the airport or something.

If this is true, then Jeff Hardy is a moron...

Enjoy your career in the indies when you could've had a chance to become a huge star.

Well, he is a huge star. But he's also a huge moron. It wouldn't surprise me if he had something illegal on him.

Well fuck and here I was thinking he might actually get the belt soon. Thanks Jeff, now HHH isn't dropping the belt for the forseeable future.

Come on, all WWE guys fly on like a dozen planes every week. Why would Jeff, boarding his one millionth domestic flight, suddenly forget what you should and shouldn't try to bring through security?

That being said, unless you get real unlucky and somehow get subjected to a strip search or something, I don't see how the hell you could possibly fail to sneak something through the Nashville airport. I was there a few weeks back, and security was a joke considering this is a Post 9-11 World and all.

Randy Orton got tied up in that Signature Pharmacy thing last year, and because he was in the middle of a title program with John Cena, and had already been suspended a couple times, WWE chose not to punish him again. With the Jeff Hardy thing though, a WWE rep told the UK Sun that they are prepared to do what they have to do about Hardy in this situation. I'm not saying Jeff Hardy doesn't deserve to have some form of punishment, but this is a stupid show of favortism by WWE here.

You would think they'd be smart enough, but don't forget the NBA player that attempted to go through security a few years back with weed wrapped in tin foil. Drug addicts do the stupidest things imaginable. Not saying this is the case with Jeff, but I wouldn't think to rule out drug possession on the claim that it would be stupid. Everything he's done has been stupid.

Hadn't Randy Orton already been suspended for the Signature stuff before the story hit the papers? I believe that WWE didn't want to punish him twice for the same offense.

^^^

I'm not sure if he was already suspended for that or not, to be honest. I just remember them mentioning that he had already been suspended twice for other drug-related charges, and they didn't feel he needed to be suspended again. Could be, though.

I thought there was an "issue" with him at the airport. Has it been reported he was kicked out? If he had drugs on him wouldn't he be arrested?

An issue can be anything from him getting in a shouting match with somebody, to forgetting to bring his ID with him.

A WWE representative has officially commented:

"WWE has been informed of an alleged incident involving Jeff Hardy. We are currently investigating the situation and will take appropriate actions if needed.”

Jeff Hardy incident notes

By Dave Meltzer

Details remain sketchy over an incident yesterday morning where Jeff Hardy was removed from his flight going from Nashville to what is believed to be Raleigh.

The incident has been confirmed and has been a major topic of conversation in WWE today, but those contacted did not have details and at this point, nothing has surfaced regarding a company reaction.

Nashville Airport Security corporate communications officer Emily Richard had not returned phone calls asking for a comment on the reason Hardy was removed from the flight. Those closest to the situation have remained mum.

Hardy is scheduled to headline the 10/5 No Mercy PPV against HHH for the WWE championship.

Judging by the last two posts, looks like Hardy is F-I-R-E-D.

Well, at least he had a nice run. But in the end, he'll probably be like a Scott Hall, always messed up, good mid carder/IC champion, but could NEVER get it straight for the big one.

There's still not enough here to tell much of anything. Nobody with direct knowledge of the situation has publicly alleged yet that drugs have anything to do with it. Barring such a connection, we're left with (maybe) questionable behavior on an airline flight, not really third strike material. Jeff Hardy won't be bounced from WWE based on speculation, there needs to be something real and provable.

Meltzer posted this on the F4W board:

I got stuff that confirmed it happened by several, whereas before it was just widely rumored stuff. Wish I had more.

WWE in a very interesting position right now. One thing for sure. They regret that Dr. Black storyline stuff at this point.

That last line sounds like Dave being vague about something he's sure about but can't really confirm yet.

Does anyone cut promos on Triple H referencing his relationship to Vince and Steph, his power tripping backstage, etc.? I'm sure SOMEONE has, I just can't recall off the top of my head. It just seems like no one gets to do the smarky insider digs at people other than Triple H.

WTF is the Dr. Black stuff? I don't really watch SD.

Triple H has been cutting promo's on Jeff that mock his past drug issues and has made references to Dr Black, who was Benoit's doctor.

Meltzer doesn't want to post anything that would be legally actionable but he's clearly throwing the hint out for those inside enough to pick up on it.

Edge did once in 02.

I thought Dr. Black was the WWE doctor, and Astin was Benoit's doctor

Too many crooked or stooge doctors to keep track of.

Actually, Jeff Hardy did just last week. He talked about how he had to work his way up b/c he doesn't have the "family connections" that HHH has (he also mentioned not having The Clique, but that's no longer really smarky insider-stuff that's kept out of storylines).

Has HHH actually mentioned "Dr. Black?" Unless it's from this week, I don't recall the name ever coming up.

Well if it's not drugs, from the one report I read it kind of sounds like he might have made a stupid comment on the plane like "It's not like I have a bomb". Especially nowadays a comment like this can get you in a lot of trouble. I once was getting on a plane to fly from Dallas to Des Moines for christmas with my dad and the guy in front of me made a smart ass comment about his briefcase wasn't a bomb and it wouldn't hurt anything if he put it under his seat. they called the cops on him and they escorted him off the plane. Though this was before 9/11 so i have no idea how they handle situations like this now.
