Randy Orton, while not personally loved by everyone, seems to be gaining respect backstage for being his own man. He does not suck up to management or Triple H as many do and is considered very tough for his age. At this point, his only knock seems to be his injury prone past.

Perhaps because Dynamite Kid wasn't sitting in the WWE Locker Room, so there wasn't an opportunity to shake his hand. Perhaps also that people actually like Droz, and think that he should be treated with the utmost respect by the new people, while the Dynamite Kid has always been considered to be a bit of a douchebag. I'm not saying I agree with the "shake hands with Droz or your career is finished" mentality, but the question you posed was quite idiotic.

Last I checked, Droz wasn't 20 years old. Hell, last I checked he wasn't even 30. Droz has lead a decent life. You are trying to make him out as god because hes in a wheel chair.

 

Thats like me saying Owen Hart was god because he died in a horrible way. Or that Bret Hart should be whatever the hell the ruler of Canada is because he almost died in a motorcycle acident.

While Orton certainly took a step in the right direction after his performance at Backlash, I still believe he has recieved too much too soon, and there are much more deserving workers on the roster. But, with a promotion run by Vince, and Vince followers, I guess that is just the way it goes.

Orton's push has leveled off in my opinion. He's been IC Champ for several months now, which is just fine for him. I don't think he should have gone over Shawn Michaels so early last year, but that's just me. It's also noteworthy that his pay-per-view debut was in the main event of Summerslam.

 

But lately, I don't think he has been overpushed and he's settled into an enjoyable role.
