The site says that about 35% end up scoring Libertarian...

 

Im not sure if that is a result of the test being a bit skewed or that (in my opinion) libertarianism is the most popular 'philosophy' in America...

 

Its a shame we only have the two dork parties to choose from though.

The questions were clearly biased and while interesting, the quiz was far too short. In a larger and more comprehensive survey I'd probably lean more towards the left or centrist, especially on the economic issues.

I think it's unlikely that many people will fall deep into the right-conservative quadrant because nowadays a large number of people who would be called conservatives support things such as free trade, which are libertarian policy (in the classical sense). Someone like Pat Buchanan would probably test as a right-conservative in this quiz.

This thing has been around for ever and yes it has been proved to be skewed and too short sighted, and only scoring on a linear plane, with the goal to try to get people to think they're Libertarians.

This (the first test) seems like it was made by one of those internet message board posters, you've seen the ones if you go to other political boards, who are hardcore Republicans and call themselves libertarians to make themselves sound more open minded.

 

I've met a Republican who supported Bush's ban on gay marriages with all he could muster, thought it was a good thing that it left the door open to possibly ban civil unions too, and has crazy conspiracy theories about historical figures for peace being communists in disguise. Although he's registered ®, he considers himself an (L) because he doesn't want to admit he's a far-right shill so extreme other right-wing shills would be afraid of him.
