  1. He married the least talented person of a five-member girl group?
  2. To be fair, I think Voyager would've been cancelled earlier had it not been heralded as the "flagship" of UPN when they first started. Part of Enterprise's problem was that they were basically doing the exact same thing that TOS, TNG and Voyager were doing - exploring new life and new civilizations etc. There's only a finite number of stories you can do based on that premise, and they've done roughly 21 years worth of it. DS9 worked because it was (and despite being) DIFFERENT from the other Trek shows. And what Berman and Braga learned from that is... go back to the status quo. You'd think these guys were producing Star Wars as well...
  3. TOS = The Original Series
  4. Ming Tsai has a show on PBS now...
  5. Well, he DID change the ending to say "3 Live Kru" instead of "New Age Outlaws". But to be honest, I don't pay attention anymore - I just FF the matches these three are involved in.
  6. I would've laughed if they sold the rights to Corus or Bell Globemedia. But I'm guessing that keeping the naming rights "in house" allows Rogers to maximize the price. Or minimize it, depending on the "creative accounting" going on. And I agree with treble - Rogers Centre sounds stupid. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSS!!
  7. Sadly, I suck at GTA-type games.
  8. ESPN NFL 2K5 it is then...
  9. Whoa, weird convergence in last night's Law & Order: SVU repeat. "Obscene" featured Maggie Grace (Shannon) as an actress playing a teenaged undercover agent a la Sidney Bristow. The director? Career That Guy Nestor Serrano, currently playing the vaguely Arab-American terrorist father on 24. btw, is tonight a repeat?
  10. Like, say... less bottlenecking? This leg wasn't so bad, seeing as they were bunched up to begin with, but they're really going out of their way to manufacture drama. As for teams... Part of the problem this time around was that the "nice" teams weren't very good racers. Much as I hate him, The Douche and Victoria WERE good at racing, and would still be in it if they, you know, read instructions. Overall, I hope that Kris and Jon win, because even though they cracked a bit today, they're still one of the most likeable teams ever. With TAR7, I'll say that they'll try to make Boston Rob look bad just on general principle, but he'll probably come off looking better than he did on Survivor. As for Amber, well, she'll be like a rock - the rock that sinks this team.

    Wondercon 2005

Wish I could head out there, but any extra (ie non-budgeted) money I have goes towards my wedding.
  12. Well, if this results in a bump in sales, I'm sure that Apple will be crying all the way to the bank...
  13. Technically speaking the hexagonal ring should have more surface area than a 4-sided ring of roughly the same dimensions. It's actually good for the X-divisioners, less so for the heavyweights. Your Monty example is more about Monty than the ring. Brown is still pretty green, so he doesn't have that "ring presence" that veterans have. Frankly, he makes a lot of mistakes, but still, he's the guy TNA needs to push. I could really do without Don West but I suppose budget issues means he stays. Tenay is there to get the guys over and frankly I think he'd be better with less input from the "Gorilla" position. Well, BG James is probably the worst wrestler of the Armstrong/James brothers but was blessed with good mic work, so it's better that he talk than wrestle. Konnan, there really is no excuse. He used to be pretty good. And Killings is allegedly much better than these two, but I've yet to see it. He really needs to strike out on his own. I've no idea on that one. But if he dances like Killings, that'd be hilarious. Doubly so when he pulls something doing it. Wrestling chicks are attracted to power. And it's an iota better than them swooning over Russo. Even if he's a former WCW champion.
  14. So, anyone catch Ming Tsai school his buddy Flay last Sunday?
  15. Adam: "Don't call me honey" Rebecca: "All right... ASS"
  16. btw, there's one more non-elim leg... this has gotta be it...
  17. Why thank you. And the sad part? I don't know who's the bigger douche - Dr. Phil or JtheD...
  18. Bump. Apparently the Power of the Juggs isn't helping Hayden in Shanghai...
  19. Easy. Just use the numbers produced by Mike Anderson, Clinton Portis, and Reuben Droughns as estimates...
  20. One of those owners is her husband. And the GM is her brother in law.... Lady is kinda in complete control. I'm actually assuming that those two guys (plus the third partner) are, you know, competent, in terms of running a business. If the team is doing good business, they won't fold it.
  21. He did a lot better than an Arizona back has any right to...
  22. It's all about the wrestler. The crowd seems to accept that Regal will do some stiff shit, so the impact of such a move may be lessened. Maven, not so much, so he pulls that move out, and it has THAT much more impact. Of course, I'm just speculating here.
  23. I heard about this on Sunday. Empty threat by the owner, seeing as she has 2 other owners who would probably overrule her. Personally? I think it's a stunt by Sally Anthony to get her name in the news. I mean, she's a singer, but who's heard of her? But act a bit like a diva/McMahon/Cuban/Steinbrenner and get your 15 minutes. As for Ashley McElhiney, well, her team is 18-7. All I can say is, good work.
  24. All you need to know is that Tony Almeda is the only guy who is even close to Jack in terms of badassness in the 24verse.
  25. For the home version, close yhour bathroom door, turn the shower on as hot as it will go, and wear sweats layered with a nylon tracksuit.
