  1. I think you're right, but then again I only just finished watching 7:00-9:00 (off bitTorrent right before 9:00-10:00 started...
  2. Tony Almeda was Jack's boss last season. Chapelle was Almeda's boss...
  3. Yes and no, since Brees was the starter again by the end of 2003. Basically he won for the exact same reason that Jon Kitna won in 2003 (incumbent QB with rookie waiting in the wings), and I don't really agree with it.
  4. I'd assume they'd go more along the lines of John Shea's Lex, but more ruthless.
  5. Well at least you don't have to think about why he deserves it. I'm still trying to figure out what exactly it was that Drew Brees came back from...
  6. Once again I need to pimp the source material. If you're into Tarantino or Guy Ritchie films, or maybe liked The Usual Suspects, you owe it to yourself to read Elmore Leonard's books.
  7. Meanwhile, we flock to Banana Republic. Go figure...
  8. I found this funny for some reason. Probably because it's true... Oh, and I don't think that CBC has ever been used as a slur...
  9. Agreed. Cracker just doesn't cut it anymore. Gwi Lo is even better than that. Except that, since it's not in English, it gets ignored.
  10. Thank you - I couldn't remember her name.
  11. This is true, unless you accept wads of money to play for the Rangers...
  12. Let's see if I can get back onto a normal schedule with this... JLA #110 $2.25 DISTRICT X #9 $2.99 NEW X-MEN #8 $2.99 Comments: - was anyone chomping at the bit for a Beta Ray Bill miniseries? - Anyone think that Wizard's "Best Toys Ever" is just an excuse to make an extended Twisted Toyfare Theater?
  13. These football unis from the CFL were decidedly not boring. I have no idea what they are, but boring wasn't it... Memphis Mad Dogs: Birmingham Barracudas: Toronto Argonauts (1995):
  14. That sounds like something that chud.com would come up with...
  15. They're offended because "chink" is considered a slur to Chinese people (and, apparently, Margaret Cho). Although personally I haven't heard it used since the 80's. Sadly, The Jeffersons probably wouldn't get made in this PC age.
  16. Wait, was DKSA better or worse than Robocop 2?
  17. Having previously lived across the river in Windsor, I'd say that it's a mortal lock for bad weather in Detroit in February. Anyways, I think that hosting a Super Bowl was a reward for building a stadium downtown. Although given the close proximity of 4 casinos and Canadian strip clubs, I wonder if there was any other factors at work here.
  18. Probably because there are a lot more suits that attend the Super Bowl than your average game, and they need to be pampered. Or something.
  19. I think they were considering adding Houston to the rotation. I believe that the strip clubs here are strongly campaigning for that...
  20. Of course it is, but that's how PC groups work. Although to be honest, compared to some of their other campaigns (such as trying to get "Harold and Kumar..." considered for some comedy movie awards) this one is really farfetched.
  21. Gwi Lo - Ghost people. I think gaijin was derived from this Juk Sing - Hollow Bamboo. The expression is meant to mean "caught between two cultures," and is used in a derogatory manner similar to "Banana" FOB - acronym meaning "Fresh Off the Boat". Similar to the acronym for Without Papers.
  22. So I Married An Axe Murderer is still better though...
  23. I'd be behind the Asian Media Watch a bit more if Chinese people didn't still call Caucasians gwi lo, Chinese-Canadians/Americans (like myself) juk sing, and immigrants FOBs...
  24. Hey, for a basketball player (unless you're AC Green) it *IS* unusual...
  25. Oh. haha Eh, he'll be back when he gets over it. He's been through worse shit than OU getting treated like USC's personal bitches...
