That made me laugh.

Congrats, Adam. Of course, you know this counts as both your birthday and christmas posts as well.

Rock for me, with Piper and Foley coming right behind him.

Edit: Misread post! Say no to drugs!

I honestly feel this crap about is third brand... well, is crap. How stupid are they? Who in their right mind stays home on a Saturday night to watch wrestling? I'm sorry, but they tried this before with Shotgun Saturday Night - branding it as a hardcore alternative - and it got SLAUGHTERED in the ratings. Does Vince ever learn? Didn't help that a bunch of the major markets (Philly included) didn't even carry the damn show. I can't comment on the matches, but it seemed pretty wild in the beginning when they stuck to running nightclubs. They had Terri take her top off on the first episode, and I remember a great segment between Terry Funk and Austin leading into Rumble 97. And HHH getting tombstoned on the escalator was cool.

I think she looks cute bald, but she looks MUCH better with the long brown hair...especially the style she's had over the past few months.

I can easily see you growing up to be that mean old lady who all the kids on the street are afraid of. Yelling at everybody, spraying kids with the garden hose for being on your property and everything. How many cats you got, CC?

I find it more annoying when in crowded or full parking lots, people that are clearly ready to leave a parking space sit there as long as possible for no reason other than the fact that they see you waiting for the space. I also hate old people in general. And cows.

I believe Mr. Perfect first called him HHH at Rumble 96 (or possibly on a Superstars episode sometime before...I dunno). It officially became his name once DX started.

Well, NY, not to completely remove Brock from blame, but Vince and co. brought this on themselves. It was their decision to shoot Brock to the top of the card right off the bat. They brought this guy into the business, handed him the title on a silver platter, not only pushed him strongly, but had him dominate for a good year and a half, and in the end, when it's time to give back, you expect him to be humble? I have no sympathy for the WWE here. They had their chance to build up guys like RVD, Matt Hardy and others, but they put focused all their energy on Brock. They put their eggs in one basket, and in the end, it came back to bite them in the ass. At the very least, just be glad Brock gave notice of his departure ahead of time rather than just randomly no-showing Mania or something.

I've always wondered... What exactly is interesting about watching a man drink? I found it funny when he first started doing it, though it comes off a lot better at the live show. The one problem I've always had with Austin though (even when he was active) was that he's always been able do whatever he wanted to lower tier wrestlers, and none of them would stand up to him. A particular incident that made me angry was before Rumble 2001, when he ran in a tag match and beat up Edge, Christian and (I believe) the Dudleys, two of the top tag teams in the fed at the time, and they were never allowed to retaliate. Imagine what it could do for one of the younger guys if they were allowed to come back and get revenge on Austin? Personally, I'd mark the hell out if next week, Rene Dupree comes out and clotheslines him right off that damn ATV while he's riding it around the arena. Everyone, whether they're over or not, should be allowed a chance to succeed. After all, where would Austin be now if back in 96, HBK, Bret and Taker punked him every other week?

UPDATE!!!!! A *HUGE* match has just been added to this week's line-up. This week on HeldDOWN, CHRIS BRYTE will do battle with the man, the myth, the legend... TOM "CAPITAL" GORAN~!

Well coming off the "biggest Wrestlemania ever", I can see how they'd expect a higher rating.
-
I like this idea. Especially if it is a draft rather than a lottery. Drafts are always fun. Hopefully, they'd institute a rankings system if they went with that idea.
-
Peaches. Pick me up a bag of Doritos on your way back.
-
That'd be cool, but who would win that one? I can't see them ending the program at a PPV like Backlash, but I really can't see Foley going over Orton in a rematch.
-
Well obviously, pro wrestling isn't Brock's first love, so what do you expect? You're comparing him to a bunch of guys, most of whom grew up dreaming to be in the business, and really that's not fair. Frankly, I don't blame Brock, because with that tour schedule they've been going through over the last year (with all those international tours and what not) is rough, especially to someone whose heart really isn't into it. I respect Brock's decision, and whether you agree with it or not, at least he handled himself professionally on his way out, which is something we can't say about other wrestlers who claim to have the business in their blood.

I'm still not totally sure I like this idea. I understand the reasoning behind it, but I just hope they don't do like last time and just start drafting people without putting serious thought into it. I'd hate to see them putting this as much time as they have into a program like...say...Christian/Jericho, only to have Jericho drafted to Smackdown to end the feud. It was dumb ass stuff like that that got the split off to such a rocky start in the first place.

WWE explained a while ago that in a few of the big arenas like MSG, some of the bigger crowd reactions are a little bit muffled due to the height of the ceiling, acoustics, etc. Even with that, Benoit's pops sounded pretty loud on TV...plus, everyone in attendence has said that the crowd went crazy for Benoit.
-
I saw them before they were fixed. The fact that they replaced Benoit's title win with Evolution has me dying over here. As for Keith's ratings, I think the ME rating may be a little too high (I thought the table spot was a LITTLE BIT contrived), but aside from that, I agree with them. I'm glad the Handicap match got some love, because I really enjoyed it, especially the finish.
-
I wanna say that Benoit made him tap in a tag match or something leading into No Mercy 2000, but I was barely watching around that time so I don't have a real clear memory of that period. I'm pretty sure that Shamrock got him in 97 leading into the D-X PPV, though that may have been broken up by outside interference.
-
The Taker stuff was disappointing. I voted for the SmackDown tag match for worst match, because it was so bland. I could find at least one thing to entertain me in every other match except this one.
-
Sable is my favorite out of the bunch, but I will say that Torrie was looking right last night...and usually, she does nothing for me. I couldn't give a damn about the match though. Evening gown matches have been played since 98. If you've seen one diva in bra and panties, you've seen them all.
