  1. Yeah the off field problems would be great. I remember right after the Texas A&M game everyone jumping down Bob Stoops throat because he refused to take his starters out and ran up the score 77-0. I thought it'd be funny if after a paticuarly vicious win where you embarassed the other team the media lambasted you for being a bad sportsmen and such.
  2. The announcing was funny to. Especially the "Did you guys HONESTLY think that the NFC could come back when it was 38-13?" "Of course!" "Never doubted them!" "I knew they could do it!" "You lying dogs! I said honestly!"
  3. Good to who?? Good to you?? Where is this universally accepted list of what makes a wrestler good?? A wrestler being good is an OPINION. It's not a FACT. These are your criteria for a wrestler being good. That may be the criteria for the majority of the fans in seeing if a wrestler is good. That's not the criteria for EVERYBODY to decide if a wrestler is good. Deciding if a wrestler is good isn't a simple matter of going down a checklist and picking a "Yes" or "No." It's a matter of opinion among everybody to see who they find a GOOD wrestler and who they find a POOR wrestler. If martial arts is a person's most important factor in picking a good wrestler, Benoit is shit out of luck. And Van Dam is successful. If technical skills is a person's most important factor in picking a good wrestler, guess what....then Benoit IS a good wrestler. Stop acting like it's a cut-and-dry situation, because it's not. Choosing who's good or who isn't is an opinion question based on people's beliefs. Just because you give the reasons for someone being a good wrestler doesn't mean that it's the universal standard that everyone abides by. People have differing opinions. These are not my criteria. This is what just about everyone judges on. All those guys you were talking about judge on that fact.....however most of them are also prone to personal bias(see Meltzer and Kurt) and usually HBK is the one that people are bias towards the most. Because like I said he is entertaining. So what makes someone a good football player is an opinion!? I didn't know that! What makes someone a good chef is an opinion! Why I didn't know that! I'm going to go play some football but do nothing on the field and say "Well that's your opinion that I suck and am lazy! But I think I'm good!" and then I'm going to go burn a steak to the point where you need a chainsaw to cut it and say "Well you think I'm a bad cook but that's your opinion! I'm a good cook!" There is a criteria.....it's where most people get their star ratings from is by seeing if it meets all the criteria. Sorry.....you can yell about it all you want but what makes a wrestler good isn't what entertains YOU. Like I said......I think HBK is entertaining as hell but I'd never call the guy a good wrestler....not in a million years. And I like him. So put your personal bias aside and look at it objectively. Because it is cut and dry.
  4. No you just described what entertains a person.....not what makes a wrestler good. Every wrestlers should be able to: sell good incorporate psychology into every match protect his opponent put on a believable match make it look as real as possible entertain the crowd have some substance to his matches matches and moves should make sense. Shawn Michaels does not sell well nor is much of anything he does believable(gets hit with every move in the book and then kips up and wins with one shot!?!?). And there are psychology holes a mile wide you could drive through in his matches. So yes he is entertaining......but no most of his work is not good. Everyone of those things I named makes a good wrestler good. You could say "Well wrestlers that don't sell and who have matches that make no sense entertain me!" well that's fine. That's what entertains you...but that doesn't make them a good wrestler. Fortunately wrestlers that can do all these things are usually the most entertaining.
  5. Please then give us a detailed explanation as to what makes him so great. And don't say "Cuz he's entertaining!"
  6. Ok I was just wondering what kind of features you guys would like to see in future football games? Be it College or NFL games. What I'd really like to see is more of an image for the Coach and the team. What I was thinking was how you play the game and decisions you make could lead to how the media views you. Not only could you have the SI covers like in NCAA 2K4 but you could also have Sportscenter or even just the Sports News talking about you and what you did in the game. Then you could hold press conferences where you could increase or decrease your image. You could be really nice in the conference or you could go all Bobby Knight on everyone. Hell they could even add in ways to discipline your players and keep them under control. Then you could lose image b/c your players start fights during the games. That's another thing they need to add in....depending on the attitude of the player they could start a fight after a paticuarly rough play(of course you'd have the option to turn this off) Anyways that's what I'd like to see. I think it'd help add to the realism and allow me to go all Bobby Knight on the people that piss me off.
  7. Oh my god! That was fucking great! NFC comes back from 38-13 and wins the whole thing! Vanderjagt never misses all season and he misses twice in the Pro-Bowl! Oh man.
  8. However.......like it's been said before......you can pretty much determine what makes a wrestler good and what makes a wrestler bad and not have opinions come into it. I enjoy watching HBK perform but I can honestly say I don't think he's a good worker.
  9. Man......we get one of the best seasons, post seasons, and Super Bowls ever and now we get one of the best Pro-Bowls ever! I wonder if the off season will be this entertaining! *looks at the Warner running his mouth, Portis talking, and TO talking* YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Hmm.....the NFC is making a comeback.
  11. And why exactly are we taking their opinion so seriously?
  12. How could I leave Eddie and Chavo off my list!? Ok it goes: 1) Benoit 2) Eddie 3) Jericho 4) Ultimo 5) Chavo Still no HBK.
  13. Have you ever seen an Ultimo match then? Like I said his best match outshines HBK's best match. Which has nothing to do with what I am talking about. We'll just conclude you've lost the plot and move on. UYI Well you were saying HBK is the best worker in the WWE based off of his WWE work. And I'm saying that's not fair b/c Ultimo hasn't gotten the chance to work a match in the WWE like Michaels has and we all know based off of Ultimo's best work that he is better than Michaels. So to say HBK is in the Top 5 is false because we know there are better workers than him there even if they don't get the chance he does.
  14. Have you ever seen an Ultimo match then? Like I said his best match outshines HBK's best match.
  15. You said worker. Comparing both as pure workers Ultimo is much better. It can't be helped that he is hampered by the WWE style.....I'm sure if they would let him loose and go at it then he would easily outshine Michaels. Ultimo's best match is better than Michaels best match. Hell Ultimo/Lyger at Super J-Cup is better than Michaels best match. Dude, you've totally missed my point here. I was arguing that HBK is one of the top 5 workers in WWE TODAY, not of all time. Also, this only involves workers and their matches that took place IN WWE, not in Japan, not in Ring of Honor or anywhere else. Ultimo's had some fucking unbelieveable matches, I totally agree with you, but he hasnt put on anything note-worthy since becoming a member of the WWE roster, despite what the reason for that occurring is. UYI Yeah but just because they have better matches in the WWE doesn't mean that they are a better worker overall. Which is pretty much what you get when you say Top 5 in the WWE. Sure Ultimo hasn't had a better match but we all know he can blow HBK away.
  16. This game really needs an All-Star game. They should let us play the East-West game and the North-South game. Hell give us Blue-Gray to!
  18. 1. Benoit 2. Jericho 3. Ultimo Dragon 4. Paul London 5. Kurt Angle I don't see an HBK in that Top 5. And you can't tell me he's better than any of those 5. Hell some may dispute my top 5 but I doubt anyone with a rational outlook would say HBK is a top 5 worker. Ultimo Dragon!? What the hell are you judging that from? His 30 second classics with Tajiri? I love Ultimo as much as the next guy but, despite whatever the reason may be, he has yet to put on any significantly mind blowing match in WWE that justifies the hype that surrounds him. 1. Benoit 2. Kurt Angle 3. Chris Jericho 4. Shawn Michaels 5. Eddie Guerrero That's how I see things at present. UYI Umm.....I would be judging this over his past work. You said the best worker and I think it's been proven before that Ultimo is a better worker than Michaels. Shawn Michaels may go in the Top 5 Most Entertaining.....but not a Top 5 worker.
  19. Who said McNair sucks?
  20. And the AFC looks like it's on it's way to a victory.
  21. But who was going to fight with him? We just said that we were still going to have our matches and he could have his tournament.....no problem with a long PPV. I mean if he'd come back and said "No you can't have your matches. Tournament only." then there might have been a problem. But I seriously doubt he was going to do that. Where was the fight coming in at? I really want to know.
  22. 1. Benoit 2.
  23. I don't think anyone was saying they want Sly to go. We were just saying we are still running our matches and we weren't going to not have them b/c he said we wouldn't have time. I don't recall anyone saying that Sly should hit the road.....unless you were PM'd about it.
  24. Word out on the street is that HHH and possably Michaels were the ones that suggested a triple threat right before the Rumble instead of the than scheduled Benoit vs HHH but who's cursed idea was it to make this a ladder match? A LADDER match? Maybe HBK thinks that he can steal the spotlight in a ladder match.......oh boy he's in for a rude awakening if he thinks that.....he must've never seen a Benoit ladder match.
  25. Yeah but there wasn't 3 teams having a ladder match at the Super Bowl......... God what is wrong with McMahon?
