That combined two-hour episode was probably one of the best ever. Whoever said that the "Melrose Place" elements are blending in nicely was spot on because there was a total MP vibe to the show tonight (Ryan hiding behind the wall watching Trey leave Marissa's was pure MP). What's funny is that I don't think the first episode would have been nearly as good had it not been immediately followed by the second one. Together they were much stronger.

Who was thinking of Leno? -=Mike Maybe it's just me, but I can't really think of all that many times the legitimate media spent time bashing people's appearances (and I DON'T mean on shit like Crossfire). Every time I think of Linda Tripp, I picture that video on Leno where he compared her to a horse.

This is really the dumbest possible solution. Should we also teach the theory that life on Earth was seeded by aliens from Mars, as on the X-Files? It's just as viable a theory, scientifically, as creationism. The bottom line is science alone belongs in science class, and there is no scientific theory to compete with evolution. It's not like physics where there are competing theories which have scientific value, like string theory and twistor theory.

Anne Coulter was bitching about how that cover shot of TIME made her look "deformed" and used it to launch into a predictable "liberal media bias" rant, which is hilarious given that I'd say that's one of the better pictures I've seen of her in a while. The fact that her Manute Bol-like hands and feet are tucked away raises the sexiness level several units alone.

This particular research was published in Science, which along with Nature is consdered the most reputable scientific publication. So disregarding any conclusions that one wants to draw from this, the actual research itself is probably very scientifically sound.
