  1. It would be neat if they actually introduced a twist that they stuck with (superheroes' identities all made public is almost surely the path they're going) instead of doing a rumored 'reboot'. We shall see!
  2. What? No. They're usually bleeding hearts, with cushy jobs so they have time to worry about others all day, not the poor.
  3. A great 'company debut' was the first ROH show.
  4. I don't think the internet and a globalized economy are analogous at all. Basically, I think a global economy puts many poor countries through a really rough spot, standard of living-wise, but they'll emerge better for it. Basically every countries had to do it, industrial revolution anyone?
  5. Great description of the Shane/Vic story JasonX, a couple things to add: Obviously Shane is now in business for himself, as well as corrupting other cops. When Vic ran the Strike Team, it got dirty slowly, and he was very careful with rookies. Shane has none of the intelligence/restraint to operate as subtly as Vic in some ways did. Shane absolutely hero-worshipped Vic, and this is his way of emulating what he thinks Vic is. Vic never gave him quite the respect Shane thinks he deserved, so he's pretty much being Uber-Vic. All of the crazy, none of the sense of responsibility or just plain sneakiness.
  6. Quicky: besides starting the mission, pickpocketing and playing blackjack, is there anything to do as a Scum?
  7. Seeing as Dunst is a model, and actress, and on the cover of innumerable periodicals, I think you're out of your fucking mind.
  8. If anyone's heard David Cross's standup, his impression of James Lipton accepting a Cable Ace award is exactly how I imagine Ted Stevens' voice.
  9. There's no money in saying 'The ozone hole's getting bigger! See... see...see... year after year but they still do it.' Research grants. They're what's for dinner.
  10. Actually it's called bad fake breasts.
  11. I think environmentalists should SELL their findings or solutions a bit instead of just saying the sjy is falling, and the world's going to hell, and then offer no fixes besides never drilling oil or coal again. Think of some feasible ways to help the environment, low-cost measures companies can take, etc. Environmentalists too often look at the problem, not the solution. There appears to be little to no interest in enviornmental engineering.
  12. I can barely drive a shift, as in I could get someone home late at night. In traffic? I wouldn't even try. So I put no. It's supposed to be second nature once you learn, though.
  13. Kickass. Makes me almost glad I lost my Watchmen.
  14. His Ewok's adventure bedsheets negate the tie. How do these people get elected to positions of power?
  15. Mike, you're proving their point. On your abortion link, this poll basically supports that people want partial-term abortion curtailled, not abortion in general.
  16. Linda Lovelace acheives orgasm through sucking a big enough dick. Becuase her clitoris is actually located in the back of her throat. Take THAT M Night Shabulyydaboo.
  17. What text adventures have you enjoyed? They're still somewhat fun to play. Thw Zork games are masterpieces, but take some SERIOUS work to complete. Lurking Horror is probably my favourite. Then you have the absolute masterpiece of photopia, which is barely a game. Oh, and then there's pick up the phone booth and die.
  18. Scorpio could have the 420 splash. Because that's about all the rotation he ever got.
  19. You know, for all the lavish praise thrown at Carlin and Pryor.... there's better. Paricularly with Carlin. His 'macho' rants are often just embarassingly self-ingratiating.
  20. I still want to kick Aaron Carter in the cunt.
  21. Bjork- Homeogenic Clash- London Calling Velvet Undergound- & Nico Sonic Youth- Daydream Nation and Sonic Nurse Blonde Redhead- Misery is a Butterfly Ween- The Mollusk Smashing Pumpkins- Siamese Dream
  22. Regarding Ken Kesey, 'Last Go 'Round' is the shit. Or at least it was when I was 14. I bet it still is.
  23. #1 Eraserhead Beyond that it's sort of an honorable mentions list: Texas Chainsaw Massacres (original, ntach.) Suspiria Audition Jacob's Ladder Fulci's Gates of Hell
  24. Let me reiterate I DO think the 10 commandments displayed on gov't property is wrong, ESPECIALLY in courts. I don't mind the prayer to lead congress, they've had Hindu prayer open Congress (over, which, BTW, some conservatives threw a shitfit. Years ago, though.)
