We knew you entirely too much.

OH SHIT! We can talk about the movie! I really liked this movie! No scene was wasted, the matrix knife scene was actually really cool. The previous action scenes with V were unsettling though, it definitely establishes him as a madman. (especially that close-up knifing of the kid at the station) As i said before, I think they'll have at least 10 minutes of scenes on the DVD. V was a sick fuck, and that's what matters. The ends may justify the means, but his means are BRUTAL. He's charming as hell, but when push comes to shove, he's a madman. I thought he was definitely a grey area. Just like Sin City.

EDIT: I love Kahran Rahmus.

I will drown fanofcoils in my magnifecent cock. I no longer give two tugs of a dead dog's dick about that troll. Carry on, you piece of shit.

Who do you think is the worst poster on the board?
Special K replied to Your Paragon of Virtue's topic in No Holds Barred
Leading the charge. -
Because you don't. Blondie and Evey are very similar? One is, as a previous poster said, a deus ex Machina who drives the protaganist's actions. Evey shapes V, and changes him. She is an actual character in the movie, that changes V. He's already driven. Ban.

Fine. I'll PM someone.
-
And if Leena's ever a bitch, it's usually an overreaction to someone trash-talking her. And in HD. EDIT: Not kidding, please ban fanofcoils.
-
You just have no conception of the phrase 'very similar'. God, I hope they ban you.
-
Leena keeps the shit-talking to HD, which it's meant to take place. I don't see her derailing threads in Sports or LSD or anywhere else.

Yeah, I accidentally cut some of my text there that so it made no sense. I meant to say: 'exaggerating' (I would prefer the word misusing the word 'clone' is like 'exaggerating' the word 'literally', it makes the use of the word complete incorrect. And while adapting from a comic book about superheroes may make a movies similar, the graphic novels V and the 3 Sin City books 'Sin City' are taken from are almost polar opposites. V is about a mad master manipulator. He is verbose, articulate and works in the shadows. He takes in a young girl and irrevokably changes her life to see the world as he does, and fights to take down an entire corrupt government. He is truly a morally ambivalent character. Sin City is about a bunch of tough guys, who get by sheerly on their guts, toughness and cleverness. They are probably the most visual, least wordy comics I've read. However, the main characters all follow an iron-clad code of ethics that definitely make them heroes. You never really wonder if they're in the right like you do with V.
-
The word 'clone' has a very specific use. It means 'an exact copy, or a very close copy.' Misusing 'Exaggerating' it is like misusing the word 'literally.' Calling V a Sin City clone because it has a dark color pallette, (something that is only a very small part of creating a movie's tone) and both movies have violence (though Sin City is a much, much, more violent movie) is simply ridiculous. Of color pallette is the most important element of movies, are all black & white movies the same? Psycho and Un Chien Andelou are both violent, and they have the EXACT SAME color pallette, they must be clones!

The Shield, season 5, official thread
Special K replied to Youth N Asia's topic in Television & Film
Overall, a great season, much better than Season 4, IMO. Glen Close was great, but her character was more 'OMG celebrity on cult show!', in that she didn't really mean anything in the long run. And none of the main characters grew as a result of her geting so much screen time. Much different this time around. Kavenaugh was the driving force behind the plot, so his scenes didn't seem wasted. The Strike Team finally imploded, and we finally have real tension between Dutch and Caludette. -
By the way, Braugher looks like he's barely aged since Homocide. Compare that to Kyle Secor (Bayliss), who was Jake Kane on Veronica Mars. I didn't even recognize him. Don't forget it's got Ann Veal!
-
Neither will I. Way too soon, guys. I wouldn't even watch Over There.

You still can't convince me he doesn't purposely derail threads. He simply makes outrageous claims. People respond pointing out how he's wrong. He makes another outrageous claim to further derail conversation, and make people start to lose it. Then he starts calling people stupid because they didn't understand his misused words and vague arguments, and brings out the dreaded hammering smiley. He's a troll, guys. Can you honestly believe that he saw Hills Have Eyes and didn't know it was about nuclear-fallout mutants? That is just ridiculous! That when it's pointed out that V and Sin City are in very different genres, and have very little in common, he still insists they are clones, because they are 'dark'? (not even dark in tone, literally, that they have a dark color pallette?) His WWE threads are, if possible, worse. Look at that 'Meltzer no sells emails' thread. It is mind-blowing. I've heard he's made point-blank outrageous claims in the Sports folder too. He clearly has nothing to add. He ruins threads. He is a troll, and he's not even funny. Of course, I still can't believe CronoT was a real person, but he was. However, CronoT was at least (unintentionally) funny.

He was trying to derail a thread. -
By the time DBZ finally ended its run on TV, I had far outgrown it. How long did it take them to translate that show? 8 years? It's just a bunch of grunts and screams! Fuck, I bought the entire series of Azumanga Daioh, which is actually an awesome show, for $35. You can buy the entire, official runs of Cowboy Bebop, Irresponsible Captain Tylor and Vision of Escaflowne (all vastly, vastly superior shows) for like $60. I guess the power of the DBZ fanboy is overwhelming, but I wouldn't support a company that charged $20 for two episodes of a 200+ episode show. $2000 to own the whole thing. Awesome.

I haven't seen a gem like the Frog Ending, or the shopping cart pushing, or the Crono board yet. He just says stupid, contentious shit. This could be seen as vaguely amusing, except he's clearly just looking for attention. There is NO ONE so stupid that they could watch the entire movie 'The Hills Have Eyes' and not get that it was about nuclear mutants. I saw five seconds of the PREVIEW and got that. And shit, I think the Sin City/V comparison is still worse than the Ryan/FMJ comparison. -
They're still releasing 45 minute movies for $20 of a 10-year-old franchise? Fuck that, dude. Just get bootlegs. What a bunch of fucking skinflint bastards. And their voice actors suck.

fanofcoils. He's either a troll, or absolutely ridiculously stupid. I'm pretty sure it's the former. Either way, he's like fishyswa and CronoT (minus any humor that could be had from Crono) rolled into one shitty package. Take fishyswa's circular, ridiculous arguments, and add CronoT's terrible insults and over-reliance on that stupid fucking hammering smiley, and you've got PRIME, the next generation, only worse. PRIME mostly stuck to his own retarded threads. fanofcoils has ruined just about every movie thread in the past month. Ban him. Jimmy Snuka at WMIII! -
Andre Braugher's all kinds of awesome. He was the best reason to watch Homocide (though far from the only one), and maybe my top TV drama ever. As an aside, I wonder where the hell Rescue Me's going to go. It's been very good so far, but it has quickly gone to rival Six Feet Under as an almost unbearably miserable show (not in quality, just in all the shit they throw at the characters). Remember when the show was funny?
-
fanofcoils, can you please 'no sell' the Movies folder forever? And by 'no sell' I mean 'go the fuck away'.

pwned (pronounced puh-nowned) became common among myself and some friends while playing poker or vieo games. Never, ever would we use it in public, though. I've gotten great amusement out of things like the ROFL coptor and ROFL brothel, though.
