10/25: #6, All-Time Stupid Meetings

I also liked this one -
Watching that WMXVII match live I marked out embarassingly hard for the tombstone, since it hadn't been seen in a long time. Then when hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh pulled out the sledge hammer I was 110% sure that match was over, so I was marking out again when Taker kicked out and then got the victory.

10/24: Not Calling Off For Pick'em Games

To Bored: What do you think it will take in my division (Pac-8) to make a bowl game? I had written myself off after last weeks loss dropped me to 3-5, but then I noticed I actually won somehow and am 4-4 so I guess I'm still alive for the post season. 6-6 will make you bowl eligible but not guarentee you a bid, 7-5 guarentees you a bowl game. Every conference is guarenteed at least three bids. Only 3 bids? damn I was hoping it was like the pac-10 that gets 5 or 6 bids -

Smuesette was scheduled to have today off from her work, because she'll be working Saturday (she's normally M-F) and some on Sunday too, and they're on a no overtime kick. She's been scheduled to have today off for awhile now and everyone knew it. This is the part where you expect me to say they called this morning and asked her to work. Your expectations would not be fulfilled. One of her co-workers called her this morning and said her boss was pissed she wasn't there and was throwing a fit. She had to go in today to drop off some supplies anyway (so she was doing some work on her off day anyway) and when she got there the boss was screaming about WHY WERENT YOU HERE YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO WORK TODAY THE BOARD WAS HERE BLAH BLAH BLAH! She pointed to the schedule where it showed her having the day off, and then pointed out that everyone else knew that it was scheduled for her to have the day off. Of course bosses aren't allowed to admit when they fucked up so she just blew some more smoke out her ass before letting Smuesette go home. She would have worked if they had asked her to, she was just pissed off that she wasn't scheduled to work today, everyone knew that, and she still somehow got yelled out. Glad it wasn't me. -
I have one for a couple casinos in the Spokane area. Never used them enough to get anything, but you earned points for every dollar you gambled and they could be redeemed for shitty prizes like hats, jackets, and buffets. Oh but one of them I got specifically because you needed it to get discounts to stay in their hotel.

I had been saving up this year for a possible trip to a world series game depending on where the Saturday game was played. Colorado was one of the best options so I was excited that the Rockies had a good chance...and then I blew up my engine and all that money goes bye bye. So being in the stadium of the cancelled game is still closer then I'll get.

Yeah that Chyna match sucked, and after 13 minutes of pain the payoff was Chyna lowblowing Dogg, but he was wearing a cup so of course this caused her hand to suffer terrible pain. Yeah. As for the match the next night, I was actually at that Raw too. I agree with your feelings on it, but being there live at least it gave us fans in attendance something to finally cheer for after two days of bullshit. Even if the match itself pretty much sucked. Another thing from that show that I hated about Russo was the 'tease a turn for 10 seconds then forget about it, and thus fail to build up any kind of tension' that Russo loved to do. At that Raw Bossman came out to Hard Times (a great theme song if there ever was) as he had been beaten up by the corporation or some bullshit, so for all of 10 seconds they act like he's going to turn. Then he shakes Vinces hand and that's over. Thanks Russo.

I was at KOTR 99, that match still gives me nightmares. Maybe not as much as Billy Gunn winning the tournement does, or as much as the magical rising briefcase, but still. The other thing about that Russo show besides the overbooking is that the heels won EVERY match that mattered. Because of the tournement the only matches that meant anything were the KOTR final, the tag match, the title match, and the ladder match. Heels won all of those and of course took the crowd right out of it. Thanks Russo. As for Undertaker, 1999 was probably his worst year in my opinion, especially in the ring. Shitty match after shitty match, and godawful booking. You mentioned the ether soaked rag at KOTR, but don't forget hanging the big boss man and all the ministry bullshit. I was amazed he ever became watchable again after that year.

Thanks Jesse Jackson.

There's a musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber about Joseph called Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. It's surprisingly good. Even the Donny Osmond version was good, amazingly enough.

What irked me about Matt Leinart was getting drafted 10th or 11th or whatever and still wanting 1st draft pick money. -
I feel for you about Cal. I don't mind them myself, but I feel the same way about WSU that you do about Cal. The WSU rose bowl years sucked ass. Especially since I lived in Spokane which is Cougar Country. Anyone besides USC on Cal's schedule that has a good chance of knocking them off?

It drives me fucking nuts when I give the vehicle in front of me a little safety space, so the jackass behind me jets into the other lane and then ahead of me in that small space. Hey fucktard, the space is to be safe, not for you to be a douchenozzle. -

I saw one of those Geico plane ads today while at the Atlanta Zoo and thought the same thing when I looked up at it. It did make me wonder if they insure planes too. -
No UW love unless they beat OSU next week huh? Can't argue with that. Why the Wake Forest love though?

I'll admit my own ignorance (like that's anything new) and ask: how did that gag start? I've seen it used a 100 different ways, but I don't know it's origin. -
When I went to the funeral down south last month I just used sick time, but I probably could have gotten other leave for it.

So did you convict, acquit, or get hung?

God that horse fucking thing in Washington still makes me laugh and cry at the same time. Amazing it took that long to make it a crime. I also recall shortly after the law went into effect some lady hearing her dog yelping, opening the door to the porch and seeing her husband fucking their dog. Woof Woof. -

I openly admit I stole the Hitlery name from you and use it often in my daily conversation. But a few years ago I asked my mother, who'se been moving towards the left, probably because of her hatred of George W. Bush, if she would vote for Hilery in 2008 if she ran (I think this was around 2004) and the response was "Yes, if she was running against Adolf Hitler. Other than that, no "

Prius is made by Toyota. OMG KKK DOESN'T KNOW HIS JAPANESE CARS! -
You're right about the safe tap water, but not in ALL of the U.S. Most of the native villages in Alaska have pretty bad water because they can't afford to treat it, or the treatment system is old and rusting. Bottled water is a life saver out in the bush.

I liked Batman Begins a lot, but Katie Holmes was just terrible. And I agree that the origin part of the film was the best part, and it makes me think I won't like the sequel near as much without that.
