  1. And it also explained why Andre and Hogan were given byes into the 2nd round.
  2. He may have but I remember him on TNN scheduled to have a match vs. Steve Corino but they both beat the tar out of HC Loc and Watts looked to have joined The Network . . . though he was never seen again.
  3. They did get the duke over Hercules and Jim McPhearson . . . of course that's only 1/2 a name. But it actually ended up planting the seeds for the birth of Power and Glory.
  4. Never saw much of the team, but I did steal the name for my fantasy football team last year and intend to do it again. What a cool fuckin name!
  5. Sooner or later, wwe.com will announce the news that someone has been "released" only for them to show up on Raw/SD to protest or hold the show hostage.
  6. Well, Hogan certainly came across like a jerk at TME, but keep an eye on how Bret Hart no sells Hogan's tirade at the end of the episode. While The Rockers and Neidhart are left shaken and stirred, Bret stays cool and calm while looking at Hogan as if to say, "What a douchebag".
  7. Sweet Zombie Jesus. Somehow this makes me yearn for the days of ECW on TNN. At least back then we got Cyrus pimping Rock N Bowl and RollerJam. Hell, ECW on TNN was awesome. Granted, I couldn't see it when it aired due to work, but looking back on tapes in the past year or two, a lot of it was incredible (although, some of it was repitious but that's beside the point). If there was ever a show that needed Cyrus's "Excuse me! Excuse . . . me!" line, last night was definitely it. However, like an idiot, I still have a grain or two of hope that we'll get a quality wrestling show when Vengeance is over. I am NOT expecting ECW: Hardcore TV 2006, just some quality and/or violent wrestling with a decent angle or two. The presentation (ppv ads, arena shots, clean production) doesn't bother me in the least if the product ends up being pretty good.
  8. I'm thinking of ECW like an expansion team in sports. Kinda like the Cleveland Browns in 1999. Sure they sucked, but we (Clevelanders) loved them anyway and were/are always optimistic for improvement. Now, it's 2006, and well . . . . ummm, nevermind.* *Granted, the Browns are having a nice offseason. ------------------------- What does everyone want out of this show anyway? Just curious. I mean if I see 1-2 nice matches per week w/ a little violence and some basic, logical feuds, I'll be a happy camper.
  9. They had a few TNN matches.
  10. Savage was the one constantly getting his ass kicked until he made the hot tag to Hogan to clean house. Plus, Hogan was the one that pretty much handed Savage the title in the 1st place. In kayfabe terms, Savage was by far the weak link.
  11. In kayfabe, he wouldn't care because ECW is still unfer the WWE umbrella.
  12. So, I just downloaded ONS2 in 4 parts and was wondering if anyone knew a good program to link the videos together to make it 1 file. Thanks in advance.
  13. That'd make IRS blush.
  14. He's probably a little put out that he and Reid have been pushed aside in favor of Evolution . . . Wooooooooo, EVOLUTION!!! *Throws watch* I SAID EVOLUTION!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! ALL NIGHT LONG!!!!
  15. It's too bad ya didn't see ECW on TNN because there was also a great ECW Championship Match between Justin Credible and Tajiri. Even though Credible retained, he and Francine almost came across as sympathetic due to the way Tajiri kicked both of their asses.
  16. I always thought the Too Much tandem was tremendous. They were a great pesky heel team from the Attitude Era that unfortunately switched gimmicks from obnoxious fruitcakes to whiggers. IMHO, they did the ambiguously gay duo act far better than Billy and Chuck. And as my avatar would indicate, I was always a Young Stallions mark. Not many teams did the 360 from jobbers to lower-midcard right back to jobbers in a year.

  19. Right you are. Should have checked google 1st. Thanks!
  20. So Shamrock just won $10,000 for beating Tito in pool? This is like watching Celebrity Wheel of Fortune with the celebrities keeping all the cash and prizes.
  21. So, I just downloaded Judgment Day 2006. It's a NSV file and I have no idea how to play these. Any help would be very much appreciated.
  22. I know he was in the IC Battle Royal on Raw a month or so later. He was the 1st man out so it was hard to tell if he was even supposed to be working as a face or not.
  23. I'm holding out hope they'll release the old Captain Lou Albano shirt from the mid 1980s.
  24. It would take some balls to go out alone wearing The Bushwhackers shirt.
  25. Especially considering that whole WMVI postmatch hooplah looked to be planned to a tee. Even Warrior shooed away the WWF Title belt when Hebner tried to give it to him immediately after the match. Then, as Hogan gets on the cart, it magically raises 15 feet as if he's resurrecting to the heavens.
