  1. The Grateful Dead Movie. A dvd release of a 1977 concert film/documentary with a busload of extra features...very cool.
  2. Im really struggling to get through this book...which is upsetting because Kerouac is both my favorite writer and my inspiration to write and travel. This was his first book and Im reading it after already enjoying On The Road, Big Sur, Desolation Angels, Scattered Poems, Dharma Bums, etc so its just really dispointing. And, Kerouacs misogynistic (more apathetic than sadistic) outlook on life is blatant in his first book.
  3. Dan Rafael (who first broke the rematch ppv story) has reported that the first fight will be replayed on the undercard of Jeff Lacy vs. Robin Reid on Showtime in August. This hasnt been confirmed at all though. As good as this card looks, it will have to meet expectations to be the best ppv of 2005. Morales-Pacquiao was classic and the undercard was very good (including Arce-Hussein 1). I think it will be better though, and really might be the best show ever.
  4. Fuck.
  5. Has the Wonder Years series been released on dvd yet? If not, are there any plans for it to be soon? I was recently reminded of how this show show fucking ruled back in the day...I passed out after a night of fun times, and when my 'friends' woke me up the next afternoon they ruined a dream where I was inches from kissing Winnie Cooper. Sons of a bitch.
  6. Grateful Dead - Sugaree (live)
  7. Are there any seriously good prospects in OVW right now?
  8. I only eat cereal when Im peeled...I agree with the 'too sugary' opinions otherwise.
  9. Harlem is interesting...
  10. Ive been told that Mr. T and Taz are one in the same. Seriously.
  11. from fightnews.com - WBC/WBO lightweight champion Diego Corrales and former WBC king Jose Luis Castillo have signed for a rematch of their classic May 7 brawl to take place on October 8 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. The fight is still not a done deal, however, until a TV deal is finalized and Corrales buys out a contract option held by promoter Art Pelullo. The card will reportedly be a night of rematches, with jr lightweight Jesus Chavez battling Carlos Hernandez and flyweight Jorge Arce going to war with Hussein Hussein. This show will be so sweet if it can happen. There will be no excuse for any boxing fan to miss this. All three fights have 'classic' potential.
  12. Jeff Buckley - Mojo Pin
  13. Thats the start of your problem...
  14. And the Brewers bust out a wicked Trent Reznor impression in Florida.
  15. For great HBK non-gimmick matches we shouldnt forget the Raw match with HHH, Vs. Bret at Survivor Series 92, and Davey Boy Smith matches. Does the 2/3 Falls with Janetty count as a gimmick match?
  16. Im 100% certain that Grady Jackson will miss at least a few games this year. Fuck him.
  17. " We used to have a wrestling radio show over here, and the main presenter guy was unbeleivable. Tommy Boyd, who was supposed to know something about wrestling seeing as he got payed to talk about it, came up with such pearls of wisdom as blood being painted on wrestlers faces by make-up artists under the ring, Christians pyro being added after by computers, and Howard Finkel being a Hologram." Oh yeah, that one is really agreeing with my self-prescribed painkillers right now.
  18. I am sure Shane Douglas was in better teams in WCW than Dynamic Dudes. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> His team with Ricky Steamboat should be considered for any top-10 tag team list.
  19. Better than Bret-Diesel and HBK-Razor ladder 2?
  20. Are all these guys going to have no-complete clauses? Is it possible that with so many releases, agreements, and buyouts that maybe a few got it worked out that they can go to other promotions sooner?
  21. Kamala - if you dont go and see two sets of G Love for 20 dollars I will harass on you on the internet forever. If anyone lives within an hour or so of La Crosse, Wisconsin (I seem to remember there being a couple of you) there are ALOT of good and very cheap shows coming up at the Warehouse Club. http://www.warehouserocks.com Also, Sunday Aug14 in Madison WI (outside the Alliant Coliseum) - Band Camp 2005 featuring Chevelle (which could suck), Nonpoint (really good live), Taproot (never seen em), Dope (also very good live), 30 Seconds to Mars (w/ Jared Leto), RA, Life of Agony and more. A mere 25$ for a pretty fun day. Mushroomhead and Crossbreed (at least its not crossfade) are possible additions as well, and a strong rumor of Velvet Revolver headlining. In any case, another 10 or so bands will be added.
  22. Im happy for Scotty Po (being a former Brewer, and the reason we got Carlos) and hate the Yankees...but no Jeter in the ASG is fucking dumb.
  23. Doink - Seriously, buy me a concert ticket. Ill gladly take some pity as well.
  24. What kind of retardo lowlife bugs people in their hotel room? Id never be able to handle that once, let alone for an entire career.
  25. Even if you cant afford the subway, you can still walk to so many cool places in Manhattan. Theres always some street musicaian to amuse you, something like a million CHEAP clubs, coffeehouses, and bars with great music. The East Village is my favorite place prsonally, but can be a bit dangerous in parts. Im from a town of 400 in Wisconsin and theres nothing I enjoy more than riding a Greyhound to Port Authority and just getting lost in NYC. Its only expensive if you approach it as a tourist. Check out the underground, look at the Empire State Building without paying the go-inside-an-upstairs fee...stay at hostels for cheap, some of the 1-2$ hot dogs and pizza slices are damn good, theres always good music in literally every genre, and the town really never does sleep.
