You're thinking of the VHS set that came out in 1995. The selling point there was that the entire trilogy had been THX-ified and the film restored. The prior video releases were the crap 80s VHS editions that didn't have the framing formatted for televisions. Shortly after that came out, it was announced that the trilogy would be back in theatres for the 20th anniversary, and those are the Special Editions.

What are the big summer releases this year that aren't a sequel or a new version of something old? This is an honest question, since all I see being hyped are Mission: Impossible III, X3, Superman, etc.

So what's the point of part-time workers turning?

Who the hell wants a 50%+ income tax? EDIT: 4.7% unemployment means that we aren't at full employment. That's virtually impossible to attain. Oh, and of course gold is more valuable. Our own paper money is worth less and less by the day.

I tried looking around Amazon with no luck, so does anyone know if they plan on doing something like this (or already have) for DC characters? I read a lot of the older 50s and 60s issues when I was six thanks to several large bagfuls my mother's boyfriend had. He had lots of other stuff too, but I've always had a thing for the DC biggies rather than being a universal completist or something.

Speaking of single players that the media likes to talk about, I was annoyed when the SportsCenter segment last night on the Cavaliers/Wizards game showed Damon Jones hitting the game winner... but instead of emphasizing how fuckin' crazy it was that the guy hadn't left the bench until there were seconds left in overtime and managed to hit a series winning shot, it was all about LeBron James. Only the coach's comments about LeBron were shown. I really like the guy and he played about as well as he could for that whole series, but come on. At least mention the guy who hit the shot being at the bottom of the postgame dogpile celebration instead of "And LeBron celebrates with the Cavaliers."

Repeated, from the MySpace threads we've had: "Friends! Collect 'em all!" I kinda hope there's a Facebook backlash soon. Last time I logged in, I saw "Keep up on the latest headlines with our Fox News group!" or something like that on my home page. Either way, they had a direct tie-in with Fox News, and that was the last time I'll ever visit the place.

I'm a Kobe fan, but dude desperately needed some fuckin' help. Basketball might a more individualistic sport, but you still need a whole team to win a meaningful amount of games. That said, they should all be embarassed for blowing a 3-1 series lead.
