  1. Why would you want to do that.
  2. Ripper's right. By that time it's going to be Blacks and Whites uniting over "all those damn Hispanics."
  3. My current job is getting petitions signed to get the Working Families' Party certified as a South Carolina political party, and when we ask people if they'd like to sign, we lay down the basic facets of the party. These are raising the minimum wage, educational reform (namely re-working appropriations which are currently all kinds of out of whack in this state), and healthcare concessions from large employers (as well as a state prescription drug negotiating plan). Anyways, the point is that, at least around here, people have been brainwashed to put the business and employer over the good of common people. I've been told that the minimum wage is too high more times than I can count, and am told that raising wages will do nothing but hurt businesses by one out of three people who decline to sign the petition. I'm told frightening things like "but that will hurt business, and without business we don't have jobs." I also hear "but things will be more expensive if you increase minimum wage!" To this I respond that prices have continued to escalate despite it not being raised in over a decade and ask for another excuse. Then I get the pro-business response. It's fuckin' disgusting to me. (by the way, to stay on topic, the party wants to do what I suggested a few posts up, that being making the companies that hire illegal immigrants accountable and punishing them)
  4. Drug tests ten times a month?! Yikes.
  5. Sho nuff. This had me nearly wetting myself with anticipation at the time.
  6. I don't see why we can't just prosecute the fuck out of businesses that hire these illegal immigrants and eliminate the motivation to fly under the documented radar. Oh yeah, that'd be bad for businesses, and businesses are far more important than people. My mistake.
  7. Now that you're back, show us all why the board's vaginas collectively menstruated onto the Site Feedback folder upon your banning.
  8. The press secretary is really the governmental equivalent of a PR guy, so I don't expect any in any administration to answer things honestly. Yes, in a just world they would, but we'll never see it.
  9. I'd prefer the press secretary was a healthy medium, more assertive than strong or tough. Such words make you think of antagonism.
  10. Yes, a "tough" press secretary is just the thing that this administration needs. The White House already looks like a bunch of stubborn pricks, so why not add one more to improve its public image? I didn't dislike Scott McClellan. I felt sorry for the guy. Would you want to be the guy who had to keep trying to shine turds?
  11. Okay, dude tries to make the thread turn into a breakfast discussion and I'M the jerk.
  12. See, that's what initiations are supposed to be. I got no beef with this.
  13. It's good to know that this terrible crisis found a resolution.
  14. BUTT out, this is important to us. If you don't like it, don't post about it. Better yet, start a thread about your own country's change since that day. Snuffbox, people for the most part seem to have unfortunately picked up the way that the President pronounces not only "terror" but "nuclear" as well. I can only hope that hearing another person after 2008 say the words properly will erase this ugly trend.
  15. New Orleans went from American metropolis to absolute chaos while he was attending his usual scheduled stuff. Yes, I do believe he would have been there reading that book whether he knew or not.
  16. Spiff corrected it before I could. DAMN YOU
  17. So much for anyone listening to his 9/11 ideas now.
  18. Robin's rocket has GOT to be a photoshop. That's too terrible to consider as real.
  19. Well yeah, I just think it was a case of (warning: super leftist conspiracy theory approaching) them going "oh shit, we've gotta stop this!... But then again, this might be useful..." While this may not have been the case, you'd be crazy to think that Karl Rove never had that thought for at least a second.
  20. Man, those are just TOO big.
  21. I get booed every time I walk into a thread, so it's a pretty fair comparison.
  22. What was so incredible about this was that he's supposed to be a smark favorite, so naturally a bunch of them conspire to wreck his site.
  23. Correct. Anything involving MySpace automatically qualifies as a bad idea.
