US networks announce Fall schedule
Mr. S£im Citrus replied to Atticus Chaos's topic in Television & Film
And I'm one of the minority here that's always hated Keibler; I even had an anti-Keibler avatar for a little while... you're not making me feel any better... -
Yeah it's one of the reasons he is so disliked among older fans twentysomething males. Fixed.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII: The Thread
Mr. S£im Citrus replied to AndrewTS's topic in Video Games
Any chance they'll put this on a PS3? Because I plan to use my bonus from work to get one of those, but I can't see myself fucking with a PSP. -
Man, I just got around to watching that one-sided catfight; Beth beat the dogshit out of Melina. I loved the expression that flashed across Melina's face the instant before Beth slammed her up against the lockers, too: you could believe that she briefly had the thought, "maybe I should have thought this through..."

Yeah, that was awesome... And damn, I never thought that Gerry had a chance in the Wall, but he lasted a lot longer than I gave him credit for. EDIT - Holy shit! That bitch just took a header!

Goddamn... Phoenix crushed in Vertigo.

How does a guy who finished third in DPOY voting (with eleven first place votes) not make the first team?

Commish, while I'm waiting on my next pick, I need a ruling: what if it's a soundtrack, but every song on the album was recorded by the same artist? EDIT - BTW, it's been 48 hours: I think bps should be up next.

I remember hearing on Kornheiser's show last week that Elton Brand's agent is trying to get him back to the eastern conference. If Walsh is worth his paycheck, he'll try to arrange a trade of Zee-bo for Brand.

I am conflicted: on one hand, I am madly in lust with Christina Ricci, and watch most everything she's in. On the other hand, this movie looks awful and, based on the trailers, I have a dread suspicion that if I had to sit still and watch the whole movie, I would have a Porygon reaction to it.

How could D'Antoni going to Chicago possibly be a good idea? Isn't he ostensibly leaving Phoenix because his philosophy doesn't mesh well with Kerr's? But it's going to mesh with Paxson? Not only that, but the only players on the Bulls that would fit into D'Antoni's style are Deng and Thomas; the rest of those guys are halfcourt players.

Are there any Performance Wrestling competitions out there?
Mr. S£im Citrus replied to Damien's topic in General Wrestling
Last time I checked, if you're not in the business, you're a mark. So, unless you yourself are in the business, you probably get your "inside" information from the same places as all the rest of us. And not that I need to prove myself to you, but exactly what the hell would I have to provide that you would accept as "proof," anyway? A membership card? Again, fuck off. -

Marks like myself? You can fuck right off. -
That would have been a hell of a lot better than what they were planning to do...

Yeah... I was the last guy on the block to switch to those, too... But that wasn't what I was getting at: what I'm getting at is that I saw those very same things that HD makes it easier to notice... and that it did not, in fact, make the game more entertaining. It just made it... wider...

Not even to write a fake wrestling match? RAYCIZMZ~! And you can thank Va'aiga for what happened on the show; I got the date wrong...

I still don't see what the fuss is about: I watched the first half of Lakers/Jazz on the HDTV in our video lab on my lunch break yesterday, and while I'm not going to lie and say that I didn't notice a difference, it didn't enhance my actual viewing experience in the slightest. I mean, why should I give a shit if I can see the dimples on the basketball? It doesn't make the game any more entertaining.

Did any Gladiators from Season 1 get the axe?

I'd be interested in seeing a breakdown of poster's ages, to see what bearing, if any, it has on their selections. A quick glance at the draft board shows that the Sperm leads the league in albums that were released before Dec 31, 1979 (9), while Cowboy13012 leads the league in albums that were released after Jan 1, 2000 (5). I don't know why, but I find that mildly fascinating. So far, I personally have picked seven albums that were released before 1980, and have, to this point in the draft, only picked one album that's been released in my son's lifetime, and this is not a coincidence: when I think about what twenty albums I'd want to be stranded on a desert island with, I find myself hard-pressed to think of much of anything that's come out in the last fifteen-twenty years or so.

Oh, cool. Well, enough mucking around in the nineties and such for a while; back to the music of my childhood: The Isley Brothers - The Heat is On I'm listening to this right now; this album was a favorite of my mom's when I was a kid, and it's grown on me, too. When I was a kid, my favorite song on the album was the political anthem "Fight the Power," but as I got older, my favorite became "For the Love of You."

I missed this thread the first (and second?) time around, and have nothing to contribute to this "debate," or whatever y'all are calling it... I just wanted to say that my nickname in high school was Slarti (for Slartibartfast).

Did I miss a turn?

[isaiah Thomas] It's crazy enough that it just might work. [/isaiah Thomas]

I respectfully disagree. That article might be depressing if you liked the Suns in the first place...
